Ethanol refineries use enormous amounts of water and natural gas, and release carcinogens and strong odors.

Why not mandate that farmers, USDA and agribusiness employees utilize ethanol in all of there business and personal vehicles?

How can you sleep at night when you subsidize a system that turns food into fuel when people are starving?

What will turning field debris and other cellulosics into fuel do to soil quality?

The USDA, along with a bunch of other bureaucratic black holes, should be on the budgetary chopping block.

Time to end farmer welfare.

The USDA should be put in the same catagory as public broadcasting, unemployment ins that lasts over 3 months, subsidizing the Arts, and most forign aid and simply get rid of it. Farmers can sell their grain and other product on the open market, to the highest bidder. They do not need all the millions of dollars (that goes to ADM and the largest few anyway).
