Does anyone else find it unsettling that someone who was a pillar of the community has been found to be having an attraction to his clientele? And been acting on that attraction?
If Stamm were the kind of business operator that could be compared with someone like Nathan Lane, then this wouldn't be as disconcerting; But as opposed to Stamm being an open, lovable oaf with a 50 yr old husband, Stamm apparently has an attraction to youth.
Hiding that from the community was wrong. It's the dishonesty. Even more wrong is that he devloped a business(s) that catered to whom he is attracted.
Will we ever really know if Stamm had consensual relationship with this young man? Probably not. Not that it matters; there was a betrayal of trust, to his employees, his customers, and the community. Stamm, as a person, should have known that it was wrong to have a relationship with someone so young and impressionable- someone who probably looked up to him.
Whether as a child molester, whos attractions, lying and fear pushed him to make bad decisions, or as a man grappling with his sexuality and his pride, Stamm has earned whatever karmatic judgement we, as his neighbors, pass. He should know that he can never betray our community again.

I don't believe its the communities business who Stamm did or did not have consenual relations with. Your comments are full of probably's. Your saying he acted on that attraction. That has not been proved. As it was said today in court, the young man came out of the closet a few months ago, found an older man and is moving to switzerland to get married. Sounds maybe more like the young man may have been the aggressor and more probable that it was consensual. And after the Heralds disclosure of his personal life in the way they did, what more could he betray( using your words). Let us find out who you are, your skeletons. Someone is casting the first stone here, mr or mrs. perfect. And where has it been said that Mr. STamm had an attraction (sexual by the way your putting it) to his clientele? I read he went both ways..so every Mom was being looked at too? do we know if he hit any of the single Moms either? I hope it doesn't come out that he did your wife/husband . I believe I read in the opening statment that Stamm felt horrible and guilty for the consensual incident, tearing up as the Herald stated. Lets just pass a law that every business owner states what their sexualality is. That way your community will be more comfortable. How about the single Gay Dentist, the single Gay barber, the single gay teachers...they should open up to you for your moral judgement? Im am thankful that you are in Fremont.

Dave is a good man, should ever man or woman who come out of the closet about their sexuality be treated so horribly by the media and people who don't know him? He has helped so many people without involving sex or wanting anything in return. His life has been turned upside down and twisted. We all have secrets that we wish didn't exist, but their is no erasing them, just trying to forget them and leave it in the past. None of us would want someone who is mentally sick as this John Doe/Peterpan man to come and destroy your life because he hates his own. Dave is not quilty of molestation of this said John Doe person. We trust in our friend and believe in him and no one can take that away. Shame on this John Doe person. We're is his proof, were are the others, there's never just one victim of this terrible crime against young children. Their is none against Stamm because he is the victim of a dysfuncional mentally sick man, named John Doe.

Mia and Tyson, go and get a life or wait until you've actually experience it. Every business owners are men and woman. Woman are usually attracted to men, should these woman be held accountable if a husband hits on them? Same as ever business man hitting and flirting with woman, should they too be held accountable? Come on get real. People have affairs with other married people, with other people in relationships. I don't agree with that kind of behavior and it makes me sick. But it is what it is. Not everybody values their families, husbands, wifes and relationships, that is so sad. thats why there are some many unhappy, sad and bitter people out there. Dave is not quilty, not until proven and even then it better be 100% proof. Tyson someone like Mia can say you sexually harrassed her. Are we to believe her or you? Its your word against hers, hmmmm...its a thinker uhh. Your not God thank goodness you don't know wether he's innocent or quity and its not up to you to decide. But people such as myself and so many more who know Dave will stand by him. With your bitterness and negativity you will have bad Karma, what you give its what you get, just watch, you'll see. It happens to us all when we make a mistake that we know is wrong but we do it anyway and then you think you got away with it, it comes back and in full force . That's when you go what the heck so many bad things are happening whens it going to stop? I want you to remember this moment its then that you'll understand Karma. Bad stuff usually happens in three's. Keep your eyes open.
