You are right , unions did fight for these things a long time ago but now they are protected by the federal government and have been for quite awhile.
Unions served their purpose and are now an anachronism and excuse for waste, greed , and corruption, what's worse it they are destroying the very thing they feed off of.
Your arguments are fluff and immature attacks

Read "The Jungle" sometime. That's the world your 'job creators' want back. Everything that was fought for and gained is now being fought against to repeal and people like yourself are their soldiers.
You're being fed a lie and you lap it up.
What really happened in Gordon Gekko style venture capitalists lined their pockets by destroying the livelihood of hard working Americans. This is what you support:

Those 'good old days' in America that your type is always pining for...Where a man could support a family and the wife could stay home and raise the kids......All thanks to Union Labor and strong banking/wall street regulation.
Everything you complain about is a result of things you support. You're the problem.

You are not only 100% wrong you are completely backwards.
"Those 'good old days' Where a man could support a family and the wife could stay home and raise the kids......" were all destroyed by the greed of the labor unions NOT capitalism. The unions forced wages (for unskilled workers) so high that companies could no longer make a profit. They were forced by union greed to close and move to countries where they could produce their product profitable. Who lost? The US and all the workers, union and non-union left without jobs. Hostess will do fine as long as they can keep the greedy unions out. The union's time is over.

If that were true, then they wouldn't have failed AFTER moving overseas, or have you not heard of the Auto industry? Cling to whatever fantasy you please. You really think companies weren't profitable in the 50's? Really?

During the good old days, unions were strong and wall street was well regulated. Of course then, the CEO only made 15 times what the workers did. Now he makes 400! times what the workers do. But it's the greedy workers, right? Stick with that.

Hostess may do fine, the executives at Hostess and Hedge Fund managers will DEFINITELY be fine, but the people working there won't. You are doomed to repeat history because you don't understand the industrial revolution. Look it up sometime.

Why do you crave an America where a man can't earn a decent wage and feed his family?

When the unions are gone, then who will you blame?

You'll blame whomever your puppetmasters tell you to while they grind you into grist.

I was a plant and production Superintendent and the process improvement manager for Wonder Hostess and I worked in 6 plants over 22 years. No one automated more systems and work areas than I did and I was delighted with the union and the work force in every way. I also personally and with intention sunk that company on my way out the door. I have also been the plant manager, QCQA and sanitation manager for Harvest time bread owned by Mitt Romney and I was the first QCQA manager for Sara Lee. No one filled the pockets of the CEO more than I did.

I am happy the people decided to buy the failed Hostess and try and give it another go.
It is their company, the put up the money to buy it so if they say no union then no unions.
I guess if that makes you mad then whatever, don't work there or buy their products or get over it...whatever.

Paying the workers a living wage is profitable.

Paying the same workers a sub living wage is MORE profitable.

That's what you're too stupid to comprehend.
You idolize the people that are destroying your life because you're just THAT stupid.

They can't get obscenely rich if there aren't morons like yourself cheering them along.

You could have more out of life, but you CHOOSE to be their bitch.

Again I ask, why does not the union members buy the plant and make the money for themselves? Why depend on the man to supply them with a place of employment when they can do it for themselves? Quit bitching about wages and take control of your own destiny.

Meow. Does someone need a hug?
Paid less is paid well. Stick with that.
Go back to Jr High school and learn how to spell and correct punctuation before you call anyone a fool, idiot, or retard. You're hoisting yourself with your own petard.

I'll give you time to Google it up, as you'll obviously have no idea what I'm referring to.

Ah yes, the "everyone can just start their own business and be the boss. NOBODY will every be an employee...
Yeah, that makes sense.
A working man, standing up for himself and for a living wage is something you oppose. Good for you, keep sucking the billionaire's dick.
The only reason he gets to turn you out is because you bend over and take it like a bitch, while vilifying the man who stands up for himself.

Advocating the workers taking over control of the means of production? Do you know that you're a Communist?

I know the man on TV likes to throw that word around, but you may be surprised to find out this is what it actually means.

That's a stretch, the workers have no say or control in Communism. The governing bureaucracy does. If the workers of this local plant all became shareholders of the company than they would indeed own it and have say in the direction it takes, that is nothing like communism.
You seem intelligent in your posts yet you are always wrong.

Thanks stelio, that is what I have been trying to say. I love seeing working people prosper. I dont know why employees are scared to become employers. Im sure I will be attacked by this frigging moron but maybe him and the other workers will buy the business and make themselves and thier families future brighter.

I did attack the message. Post #54. Way to revise history to suit your hissy fit.

I'll add to it. These are industrial bakers, not plant managers. They are also not financiers. What bank would give them the loan, especially these days?
It's a nice platitude to pretend that they can just snap their fingers and buy a plant. Why didn't YOU do it if is just so easy?
Oh right, It ISN'T.
