The F-35 buys by friends and allies will fall like a house of cards with the Canada and Denmark fighter competitions. The F-35 is seven years behind schedule and growing, has doubled in unit cost, life cycle costs are beyond calculation, only carries a limited on-board missile load, has un-needed stealth features that can be defeated by new radar technology, and has been referred to by Senator McCain and others as a disgrace to procurement. The most expensive weapon system in history is un-affordable, but, the real test for todays strategic choices is "How many North Korean or Iranian nuclear tipped ICBMs can it shoot down?" Answer: Zero. Upgrade and add to the F-15/16/18 Fleet until unmanned drones make manned fighters obsolete.
