The F-35 is either a total joke or a money sink for a much more highly classified program. Either way, the program should be cancelled. We put a man on the moon in 7 years without knowing how to do it when we started the project. Now we can't even build an airplane within 20 years of committing to the program. The F-35 should be cancelled and the F-22 restarted and built as a pure fighter with a developed bomber version. It is a better plane and production could be restarted for less money and much quicker than trying to fix the flawed F-35 design.
