Dallas, TX--So, let’s cut to the chase. Dallas Junk King’s co-owner, Renee Ferguson has appeared on “Throwdown!” with Chef Bobby Flay.” She’s a partner in the new Dallas Junk King franchise with native Texan and long time family friend Brent Gardner. No, we won’t disclose the result of the “Throwdown!”, but as any unbiased observer will tell you, that “Yankee” Flay bent the rules.
Ms. Ferguson is certainly the most public face of Junk King Dallas, the green junk hauler and recycler. She has been on television not only with Flay but has also appeared on QVC, NBC, and Fox among many others. Additionally she aired on Oprah and Friend’s Thanksgiving Day Special, NPR along with other radio programming and was featured in Southern Living Magazine. She wrote the cookbook,“Talk Turkey to Me,” that includes not only delicious recipes, but some reminiscences of her 14 years of experience as a former Butterball Talk Line advisor. Brent brings his 28 years of sales and marketing background to the team as well as experience in running two successful companies. Brent is the former President of Packaging Specialists, Inc., and founder of Innovative Packaging Solutions. Combine Renee’s ease in public plus her business acumen, stir in the business expertise and sales experience of Gardner, and Junk King Dallas should be remarkable.
But, behind the scenes, there is so much more. Brent Gardner’s wife, Janna, with Brent’s help, support and encouragement, founded Healing Hands Ministry, a charity medical and dental clinic serving the working poor in the Dallas community. As a school nurse, Janna found that many children came to her for primary medical care. Two years later, Healing Hands became a working full-service medical and dental clinic. From offering services two days a month, Healing Hands Ministry is now staffed with 44 volunteer physicians, 14 volunteer dentists, and one full-time paid physician seeing 3,015 patients for 9,915 visits in 2011 for medical and dental care they couldn’t afford otherwise. More information on the clinic is available at HealingHandsDallas.org .
Junk King was founded by two childhood friends in 2005. Doing the work themselves, the partners, Mike Andreacchi and Brian Reardon decided to offer dependable, affordable, and green junk hauling service that focused the customer’s needs. Instead of rickety pick-up trucks, Junk King vehicles are state of the art, and hold 18 cubic yards, the largest load in the junk hauling business. Since its inception, Junk King has grown to nearly 40 franchises, all fully bonded, licensed, insured, and cost competitive. The company hauls junk for homeowners, businesses, realtors and property managers. Junk King recycles or donates 60% or more of the materials it hauls. Such concern for environment fit into the concerns the Dallas franchise owners have for “giving back.”
“We all need to take a closer look at how we care for our world,” says Renee,“both our personal world and the greater footprint that we leave on this earth.”
The co-owners at Junk King Dallas franchise believe that their new business will contribute in its own way to the greater good of the area.
Junk King Dallas is located at 13659 Jupiter Road, Suite #208, Dallas, Texas 75238. 1-800-995-JUNK.
