Of course, this is coming from a guy who told the Congress that he does not need a declaration of war to conduct an actual war. Just needs UN approval and order from NATO.

How about cutting some of the 800,000+ defense deparment civilian employees who make on average $70k per year?

We currently have one civilian employee for every 2 active duty servicemembers. A bit of overkill isn't it?

Cutting that back to just one civilian for ever 4 active duty members would save the military over $28 BILLION each year in salary alone, not to mention benefits & perks.

That's over HALF the sequestration cuts right there.

We'd save a hell of lot more if we cut the welfare kings and queens, those that fill out the paper work...y'know one in the moring...two hour lunch and one in the afternoon. Local governments have declined while federal government has double since nobama took office. Get rid of or cut down these big government agencies that have run amock and keep those that keep us safe.

Hogwash.

Cut ALL govt deparments by 50%, including the DOD.

We don't need 1 civilian employee for every 2 active duty members. It's not like they're out there in the field with them reloading their magazines or filling up the tanks & aircraft.

Again, the point is there are BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of waste in the DOD which can and should be cut. The $50 billion a year in cuts from the sequestration is a drop in the overall pentagon budget.

I've been a libertarian all my life.

Unfortunately we have a 2 party system, so I've got to choose between the Dems or the GOP.

That is a bad misconcenption. There is nothing that states we have a 2 party system. The 2 parties have manipulated the system to get people to believe that they only have 2 parties.

The entire thing is lie.

I for one will not accept that anymore. And more people should not.

Goes back to a lot of my other posts regarding self respect, personal dignity, morality, and virtue.

In principle I agree, but in reality we have only 2 viable parties.

One of those 2 parties is going to be in the White House, control the Senate, control the House, and most importantly nominate justices to the SCOTUS.

At this point I can't afford the luxury of voting on principle, not when the GOPasaurs can do so much more damage on issues I care about than the Dems would do.

Voting for a 3rd party candidate would be the same as throwing my vote away or not voting at all.
