Got betta more productive things to do,

Not when you consider that the tracks are likely going to be built on a huge (picture 4-6 lane highway wide) aerial (40ft tall or more) platform. The trains will run every 5 minutes and will be very loud at 120mph. This will ruin the downtown areas in Burlingame and San Mateo. Oh, and it likely cause even more problems for the state to pay for even the interest on the bonds.
We have no money and High Speed Rail is a money loser around the world. How will we pay for it?

Other more civilized countries (and "less-civilized" countries) have a public transport system worthy of their citizens, worthy of their country and worthy of the 21st century.
We do not.

Are the "them thar goze our nayborhood" signs going to be handed out to prospective businesses by the Burlingame chamber of commerce and DBIDs as they try to encourage new businesses?
Will the realtors hand the signs out to home owners (and their neighbors) when homes go on the market?
The boondogglers should think through them thar signs as to whether they are counter productive to Burlingame businesses and home sales?

I think a 40ft tall or higher, 4 lane elevated freeway going through downtown in the form of a railroad is worse for business than a few signs protesting it. That's my .02.
