Ooooh, excommunicated, I'm scaaaared.

If I were them, I'd go into the church that did it pull my pants down and tell them to excommunicate THIS.

Dumbasses, the lot of them.

This whole story really broke my heart and sickens me. What business is it of the church in the first place? This is between the Mother and Dr. I know if it was my daughter who was violated like this an abortion would be first on my list and the church could kiss my a$$!

Why are they continuing to torture the victims? I just don't get it. This girl has been through enough. Oh yeah that's right they defend child molesters and pay off their prey. Makes it ok to rape a child as long as they don't get an abortion and have to suffer a life time to get into Heaven. Sick religion if you ask me.

I would rather burn in hell than force my 9 year old girl to risk her life, give birth and raise 2 children of her rapist.

I think it would be cool to invent a time machine, go back to six months before your birth, and mulekick your mother in the stomach.
Hypocrite catholic and their phoney "pro-life" stance. You and your kind are a joke.

I found this site while I was trying to find the pope's reaction to the recent murders in Northern Ireland. The pope condemned but did not excommunicate the catholics, yet is quick to to excommunicate a doctor for probably saving a 9yr.

As one who was raised catholic , I don't get it.

That is why I don't call myself catholic any more.

This story has been repeatedly misreported in most major news outlets. Catholic Church canon law states that anyone who procures, performs, or encourages an abortion automatically excommunicate themselves.

The Brazilian bishop and the Vatican are not picking on these doctors this is what happens to anyone who does this.

The media loves taking the focus off the fact that two innocent children lost their lives and that the young innocent mother is terribly wounded. It's much more fun for them to take potshots at the Church.
