I have asked this two or three times before and have never received an answer. In the name of Christ statue in Rio de Janeiro. Do the people of Rio like the people of the USA. I would like to talk with someone from Rio, as I was there in 1968 in the US Navy and the Rio People like us then. Gods Blessings and may I receive an answer.

I am an American living in Salvador-Bahia for the past four years. Very seldom do I meet anyone who is anti-American. When I first came to Brazil, I had been told not to say I was an "American" because Brazilians are (South) Americans, too. That is not the case at all because most Brazians refer to me as the "americano". I love living here where there is no snow and cold weather.

P.S. I also lived in Rio de Janeiro and they liked me there, especially when they thought I was a "rich americano" -- all foreigners are "rich" to most Brazilians.

I know what you are saying,Ramon. the 'americano-rico' tag does seem to follow americans around. As you probably noticed being a 'gringo'. I live in Sao Paulo and have many ameican and british friends. good people are good people no matter what your passport says. Glad to hear that you are enjoying yourself here. paz irmao. Olodum.

The Statue Of Christ The Redeemer isn't on Sugarloaf mountain. It's on a nearby peak called Corcovado.

Thank you, but that's not a photo of me - I'm almost 66 years old. Who can look good at that age? LOL Wasn't too bad when I was young I guess. But not as good as that avatar :)

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Aquarius

In complete contrast to yesterday, you have your head screwed on firmly today. Yet you won't be boringly sensible or drearily practical, so there's no danger of you having turned into a dry old stick overnight. It's a good day for keeping track of important details and processes, such as confirming a forthcoming appointment or filling in a form and then making a copy of it before sending it off.
