This cruelty is one of the most henious acts of the American Consulates abroad. This is the reason why people all over the world agree that Americans have lost their past ideals and disgracefully became a most discriminatory and cruel people, not deserving any of the compassion and sensibility other people are still being mislead in blessing them with.

I agree it is cruel in this instance not to give the visas but GET REAL!! Most of the Brazilians I know in the US are there illegaly! Your sweeping generalization is ridiculous. There is still a queue at every consulate to get a visa to go to the US.

E fala serio Luiz, vc nao iria aceitar visa pra ir morar la?? Hipocrito braisleiro. Tipico. As pessoas dos paises pobres (i.e. Brasil) estao indo ainda nas multidoes para morar sem documento nos EUA.

The reasons are justified for denying visas to just anyone. It drains the US economy to have so many illegals, many from Brasil. And Brazilians need that US economy to stay strong. The US economy is the engine of world development. It is the reason even residents in favelas can afford DVD players and the occasional car.

So take some economics classes before you criticize the US. You need the US to have strict immigration laws if you want your own life to be at all affordable, no matter where you live.

Once again, a Brazilian reading headlines and then thinking he knows what it's all about. Imagine if I formed my opinions about Brazil from only reading headlines. Imagine!!! Mas nao, amigao. Eu moro no Brazil ja um tempao e trabalho no setor financeiro, ajudando o Brasil a se desenvolver, pois ninguem no Brasil sabe fazer isso.
