U.S. diplomat: Iran wants more enrichment

There are 48 comments on the CNN story from Mar 4, 2010, titled U.S. diplomat: Iran wants more enrichment. In it, CNN reports that:

Iran, however, insists its nuclear program is entirely for peaceful purposes. The United States and its European allies are making a strong pitch to members of the U.N. Security Council for new sanctions that they say will be "smart and effective." Those proposed new sanctions reportedly would target Iran's banking, shipping, and insurance sectors.

This is one more country with leaders that just can not be trusted.

The only thing I would enrich for them is flour.
They are ruled by a Theocracy of Muslim faith and they have absolutely no honest relations with non Christian or Christian based governments, If you were a Muslim, you would still have to watch them like a hawk. No, I would not trust them.

I have questions, can anyone answer:

1. What country is the only country that has ever used atomic, nuclear or radioactive weapons on another country?

2. How many countries has that country (from question 1) used atomic, neclear or radioactive weapons against?

Either we have some dimwits on this thread or they are playing games to stir the pot, which is it Dukedecent and Stork?
Yes, we did nuke Japan, not once but twice. If you did not understand why it was necessary then you are dense.
Did we make them part of our empire? No! Did we teach their population a new way of life. Yes.
The Arabs are a different cut, all they understand is conquest, nearly 5000 years and they are too dumb to understand it does not work. They cannot stand peace and quite life style for more than a generation, their blood seems to boil for warfare. Some of them feel that they can bring back what they called glory days of powerful empires. Can not trust them with neuclear arms.

Leave them "along"? Yes I know it was a typo on your part, but the "They have not done anything" is a complete lie and you know it.

You're obviously no American to spout such a lie knowing fully well that Iran has sent their officers to train insurgents and Iranian weapons were used to murder US soldiers. And you're obviously content in ignoring all the weapons Iran has been shipping into Gaza.

Go ahead and defend this. Those with common sense aren't going to let your dream come true. We know you want Iran to have nukes and to use them. Never gonna happen! Iran's president just lied this weekend about 9/11 as he has about the Holocaust and we should trusth a freak like that to be peaceful? Who the hell are you kidding? He's hell bent on making good on his promise to wipe Israel off the map and he's slaughtering innocent Iranians for protesting his corrupt election. No more of this bullsh*t!

Nobody should wait for the nukes to explode before stopping this insanity that anarchists like yourself lust after. The biggest lie is that all this was for peaceful purposes. Only a true dumbass would believe Iran was enriching uranium for energy purposes. For what demand that isn't already being met? Give up on your insanity.

You can't expect nuts like them to possess the ability to reason. We all know that the Japanese had gotten to the point where they were ready to shed blood down to the last man which would have created a death toll far surpassing that of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. I certainly don't like the deaths that resulted in those bombings, but can understand that it saved countless more. And it did end the war.

The freaks you speak of are the same liars who would support Japan for leaving Pearl Harbor out of their history books to keep future generations ignorant to the cause of it all. They use this tired argument every time they want to deflect from the present where even just yesterday some devil blew away 36 innocent people in the name of Islam. Time to render these freaks to what they are. Insignficant liars and hate mongers.

He clearly knows how to hate and lie. Should we feel bad if we don't know to do the same?

Hey folks, back again; Look there is one thing for certain, if we leave this issue alone and do not solve the problem of Iran having nuclear capabilities, Israel will step into the gap and bomb the region back to the stone age. There is absolutely no reason to help create another black mailing nation and that is exactly what we would have a hand in. They have all the oil any country could possiblely want, cheap oil, to power their electric grids, there is absolutely no need of nuclear power for that purpose. There are alterior motives at work here, LETS TOP THEM NOW.

I cannot believe that all of you actually believe the media and government hype on Iran.

Have you even read or listened to any of speaches of the Iranian president for yourself? Probably not, you just eat whatever garbage is fed to you. Do a bit of research, with an open mind, for yourself.

And, do some research on Japan and their attempt to surrender months before we dropped atomic weapons. Not only that, but we had been sending hundreds of B29's dropping bombs on their population for weeks before the atomic weapons.

Don't be sheeple.

Yes it would be much wiser to believe the murderers in charge of Iran who admitted rigging the election that kept Amedinijad in power. We should all just succumb to what the Islamic extremists and their spin doctors demand of us. We all know what he said about wiping out Israel and at this point you have to have an IQ of less than 70 and a complete compulsion to lie in order to say that Iran isn't gearing up for nuclear weapons.

Please do educate us all on how long range missiles figure into meeting energy needs for "peaceful" purposes. Explain the Iranian weapons and training that was used to kill our soldiers. Then follow up with helping us fully understand why ships full of weapons are going to Hezbollah and Hamas.

Follow that up with a detailed explanation of the 36 murdered before the elections and the 200 dead Nigerians in a mostly Christaian town after a group of Islamic extremists came through and murdered them all.

I want to know why you admire a government that has openly slaughtered it's people after a corrupt election as Iran has done. I want you to tell us why we should believe they won't use their nuclear weapons when they support terrorists who would kill themselves to kill others.
