These so called big names back out of fighting Austin because they are afraid of him. I would love to see someone local make it to the big league!! It will happen eventually Austin, keep up the good work :)

We have been following Austin since he was a young fighter at PAL here in Las Cruces.

Austin could not have a better trainer than Louie Burke.

That is a team that will go places and make it to a championship.

We could not be more proud.

Good article.

Keep your eye on the prize.

Austin and Louie are a great pair for a power team.

Austin, get out of Las Cruces and go somewhere else to get the exposure you deserve. No disrespect to Burke but this guy has taken you as far as he can. It's time for you to get with a big name trainer and manager. And who's your promotor because that's another one that is holding you back. You don't want to end up like David Rodriguez of El Paso. Son it time for you to take that next step. Boxing is a short lived sport and time is running out on you. I hope you do succeed and make it big. Best of luck to you.

I never like Shelley Fenkel as a manager. She focuses on certain fighters and Austin is not one of them. She should have been all over the sanctioning bodies getting them to fight Austin. I don't know of any offers made by any other promoters but Golden Boy would be the most obvious choice given Oscars love for the southwest.

Shelly Finkel is a 66-year old man who no longer promotes boxers. Earlier this year, HE accepted a position in the music industry.

All this stuff about Trout sounds fishy to me.

I think that boxing is a sport for cavemen. No skills required beyond brute force. This is why none of them are educated.
