IF he fights in Australia the majority of the Australian public will support him over Mundine. As Trout said, Mundine has a good record but mostly over journey-men. He has avoided good fighters. To name just a few, he had the opportunity to fight Calzaghe and recently Golovkin and refused a rematch with Mikkel Kessler who had beaten him. He has only ever held interim titles. His last fight was against a journey man who is rated 282 in the world as a junior middleweight.(Can someone tell me why he gets the opportunity to fight for this interim title?) The middle weight belt Mundine held was the IBO belt when he beat Daniel Geale (now IBF m/weight champ) The IBO ordered a rematch as the majority believed that Geale had won, but Mundine refused. He defended it against no one.
What surprises me is that Mundine in the past 5 years esp. only fights guys he knows he can beat. So he fancies his chances against Trout.
If Trout defeats Mundine his name will go down in Australian folklore as Mundine is 36 and will retire with a sound loss. Trout is the opposite of Mundine as he avoids no one.
Being an Aboriginal of Muslim faith (probably the only one in Australia), he made some idiotic remarks in 2011 about America "deserved" the WTC plane attacks, so he would not be welcome in America.

Keep up the hard work Austin. Don't sweat the small stuff and get a good promoter. They only get tougher from here on out.

I donnt know if you want Canelo before Cotto...You might think otherwise after this weekend. Canelo is about to put people on the downhill of thier careers. Watch his next fight (After he destroys Rhodes) when he knocks out Mayorga. Both of you look promising, but he is highly favored and you two should clash at the top for a huge payday.

You should try to get Cotto now, then beat Margarito and set up a huge stage for you and Canelo next 16 September.

Good Luck AT!

Congratulations to Austin and Louie. It is nice to see a true warrior like Austin who is not afraid to take on anyone. Boxing needs more real fighters like Austin. Too many so called fighters out there that duck and hide from true contenders that have ruined the sport. Best of luck on your next fight champ.

Austin I am reading that you failed the post fight drug test. If this is true, it will be a major set back. Says it was for bud so I wouldn't call you a cheater, still a champ in my book but you may need some better friends. Ones that will tell you NO I aint smokin you out till after your fight.

I agree, Alvarez (Canelo) is no joke. I love watching this guy fight, a middle weight red-headed freckled Mexican that fights like a heavy weight. He has a HUGE Mexican following right now so beating him will definitely gain attention, but it won't be easy.
