I think Joe is scared of allen green everybody who know boxing know's that he should get a chance to fight for the title allen have an unbeating record to prove that he should get a chance all these other fighters that are fighting joe is not better that allen. Allen is the best matchup for him these other fighters couldn't last 5 rounds with allen (m just saying he's he aint lost no fights majority of his wins are knockouts he deserves a chance to take a shot at the belt )TULSA, OKLAHOMA finest ALLEN "SWEETNESS" GREEN well be the WBO super middleweight champion if he get a SHOT.

Peter could not handle Sergio Mora. How Peter going to handle Joe Calzaghe? Peter is not fighting Joey Spina or Scott Pemberton.

this is the classic case of fighting the easiest fight you can find. There are at least ten fighters that deserve the title shot more than manfredo. he fought Pemberton when he was completely shot. and spina wasnt good to begin with. so that combined with losing to mw's on the contender make this another european bull shit fight.
Calzaghe could be one of the great champions of his time if it wasnt for crap like this, he really is good but not yet great.

There seems to be 2 sides to Joe Calzaghe. There is the guy that defeated Chris Eubank all those years ago, the guy who shined against "Left Hook" Lacy but there is also the Calzaghe that will do anything for an easy payday. Manfredo is not anywhere near world title quality and will be rolled over in 5 rounds. Give Green a shot or maybe Taylor. Personally, I have always wanted to see Calzaghe take on B-Hop. Joe wants the record for most title defenses but taking bullshit fights are not the way to being remembered as a great champion.

I agree that "some" of Calzaghe's fights have been carefully selected, and there probably could be a more challenging opponent than Manfredo. On the other hand, Calzaghe successfully defended his title 19 times and showed his boxing skills and ring savvy against Lacy. He has been unfairly ignored for years simply because he is a European champion. Manfredo will take this fight seriously, and it just might be an exciting contest.

joe calzaghe the best at 168 when ur ranked 1 in the super middleweight division and have unified tittles you dont have to go out 2 america to fight, the challengers come to you joe showed his the man when he destroyed jeff lacy now everyone says jeff was overhyped and that isn't the case, it was that joe is that good. Once he kills manfredo he will go on to defeat jermaine taylor or hopkins. no figther in the states can match joes boxing ability not evan winky wright, joes to quick and has underrated power.

calzaghe shocked me when i saw him against lacey. he fought a perfect fight. manfredo is a good fighter, but is not in the same class as calzaghe. calzaghe should win this fight easily, probably stopping manfredo.

did anybody happen to see calzaghe fight?! he is a beast a splitting image of roy jones jr in his prime reguardless of the fact that he is a european fighter he is still a well rounded fighter that deserves the respect he has one time after time. and lets not forget that he beat a great fighter for that title
