These lists can never be accurate, but here's my choice: Top 5. Joe Louis, Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano, Jack Johnson, Ray Robinson. All famous, all popular and all surpreme boxing proffessionals.
Next best group:Larry Holmes, Stanley Ketchel, Ezzard Charles, Jimmy Wilde, Max Rosenbloom, Max Baer and Hit Man Hearns. Gents of the ring: Gene Tunny, Max Scmeling and Jack Braddock. Disqualified for bad-sportsmanship Cassius Clay - the Louisville Lip. Disqualified taunting opponents, for failing to report for militiary service and introducing personal Islamic views and Black Politics into the sport. |

if we are talking pound for pound got to say in no particular order top 10 leonard, hagler, ali, pryor, hopkins, hearns, duran, robinson, jones jnr,bob foster. bit of 80s bias because that was 'my era'

1.Sugar Ray Robison is the greatest boxer pound for pound.
listen, go to www.associatedcontent.com and type in Marquis Canaday. He has a top 20 list of the greatest boxers and why. Better yet, just type in his name Marquis Canaday or Marquis D. Canaday. |

I put MARCIANO #1. cause he never lost and he was in a lot of fights. |
I ranked the BRONXBULL (Jake La Motta)#5. because La Motta was the first person to beat Ray Robinson at his prime. So thats why I put La Motta ahead of Robinson. I also put Gatti #14. cause at his prime, I don't think anybody could beat Gatti. I think if Gatti was still in his prime he would beat Floyd Mayweater. IS ANYONE A MALIGNAGGI FAN??

23-1, but with just five KOs. I'll keep my eye on him. My favorite fighter of all time is Sugar Ray Leonard. I saw him on TV the other day, and the funny thing is, he doesn't look tough at all! Jeez, look at the great fighters he beat. It's been 20 years since he beat Hagler, and I still love watching that fight. |

What about heavyweight stiffs? Duane Bobick was one. Some guy named Rick "King Kong" Keller is right up (down?) there, too. Keller fought Greg Page, and the fight wasn't even a minute old and Keller was bleeding from everywhere. Not much of a fight.
I'd end my rank with,
16.Mike Tyson 17.Roy Jones Jr. 18.PACMAN and 19.PAULIE MALIGNAGGI cause PAULIE DOSEN'T GO DOWN!!! |
I forgot one more great fighter...
RAY(BOOM BOOM)MANCINI!!!! he was an awesome boxer who won almost all of his fights by knock out. |
I switch HATTON over MAYWEATER cause I think HATTON is just to strong for MAYWEATER and HATTON is going to knock him out. I'd say around the 6th round a big knockout will happen in thier fight.

Your joking! Paulie hits as hard as Paulie Shore, plus, he should not be rated on any straight ranking. But, I will say he's the best gay boxer out there. C'mon!

I liked Boom Boom, but he was thoroughly embarassed by Macho Camacho in 1989. I watched that fight at Diego's in Pacific Beach. |
FU RU, Malignaggi and Paulie Shore would kick your ass any day. Look at Malignaggi's record dum ass, He's 23-1 and is young and he still has a lot of fights left in him. He wants to fight the best out there and he wanted to fight Hatton, but Hatton is going to fight Mayweater instead. |
