Cory Spinks will have father, uncle in corner for next fight
“I run a tight ship, my program is proven, and I'm not going to change the way I do things.”

He probably would've won his fight if he stopped listening to that stripper he married and went to the gym regularly! That fight was boring and I wish I could see him for a refund!

I heard about her. I hear she's stearing him in the wrong direction. I hope he realizes it and get himself together. I hate to see a young person born with so much talent throw it away for some "stripper" fresh off a pole. What can she do, teach him pole dancing techniques!

WOW! I'M SURPRISED TO SEE A WEBSITE ABOUT CORY "STINKS". I'M SORRY ABOUT THE LAST NAME BUT IF HIS FATHER LEON DIDN'T SHAME IT ENOUGH THEN WHAT I SAID DOESN'T HURT.
I SEEN THE LAST FIGHT AND WASN'T SHOCKED BY THE OUTCOME. I DON'T KNOW IF THE TRAINER LEAVING HIM DISTRACTED HIM TO LOSE BUT THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SEEING IN HIM FOR THE LAST 2-3 YEARS! IF HE IS MARRIED TO A STRIPPER WHO'S MISLEADING HIM, THEN I ONLY HAVE ONE QUESTION....DOES ROBIN GIVENS AND MIKE TYSON RING A BELL??? BETTER YET, IS THIS A REMADE VERSION OF LEON'S LIFE? IS HE FOLLOWING IN HIS FATHER'S FOOTSTEPS??? |

Lol! It seems that way! Cory was the golden boy of St.Louis, I don't know what happened. I met him down at City Hall when the mayor Slay gave him "The Key to the City" and he seemed humble and was a nice guy. His trainer was there and he also seemed like a nice person. The woman I seen him with didn't seem like a stripper but who knows these days. We miss the old Cory and my prayers goes out to you. St.Louis is still behind you!

Cory Spinks was one of the great and exciting boxer i`ve ever known. Though he belong to a family of boxers, cory has his own rules and styles. Age has come to deteriorate his power.

I for one always admired old Leon senior. A special ed. kid from East St.Louis was able to defeat one of the greatest boxers of all time. Leon Senior was obviously not too bright but he was tough and manly. His kid Cory is neither. I was rooting for Cory until I witnessed him making a damn fool out of himself with his ring entries. I don't think his dad would have done that. No question that Cory is skilled but he dosen't seem to have the guts of his old man. As for the Spinks men and their women, both have had some amusing experiences. I remember reading that after winning the heavyweight crown Leon bought six cadillacs but failed to get a driver's license and his wife ( a big tough girl herself)beat him silly when he introduced some fancy show girl as his fiancee.

I heard that myself, about him buying cadillacs and paying for trips. I don't know what to say but I think Cory can make a come back if he stops listening to all the wrong people (in the streets) and learn from his fathers mistakes. His manager has been doing a good job with Cory from day 1. Cory just has to grow up & make sum sacrifices. It's either you want a career or you want the streets. F.Y.I, the streets don't pay any bills!
