Haye keen on Klitschko contest

“No disrespect to David Haye, but Enzo made a stupid mistake, held his chin in the air and beat himself.”

David Haye roared out a warning to world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko after taking just five minutes and four seconds to knock out Enzo Maccarinelli at the O2 Arena in London.

Haye will move up to challenge the big boys after adding Maccarinelli's WBO title to the WBC and WBA cruiserweight belts he already owned - and top of his agenda is IBF and WBO king Klitschko.

Haye said: 'I'd fight Wladimir Klitschko in his next fight. I watched his pitiful effort in his last fight against Sultan Ibragimov which was embarrassing. He won't be looking forward to fighting someone like me.' Read more

David Haye had better be extremely careful of what he asks for... it may just happen

My thoughts exactly. After klitchko gets done with him, modeling will no longer be an option. So he knocked out an out of shape cruiser weight. Whopdi do... Knock out Wlad, or peter, and then talk s..t.

Let's put things into perspective.....Sam Peter is a small heavy weight who was put down several times by Jameel McCline.....Vlad has limited if improving boxing ability and was put down 3 times by Peter and has been TKO'd out in all his losses. I think folks are getting rather carried away by the lack of decent heavyweights out there and actually think these guys are the real deal. I'm not saying Haye is the future of the division, but ask Tomasz Bonin how hard he hits at 220 lbs !

I agree with'cha Roadie people get to carried away with who a fighters last or prior fights which though they factor in are not the determining factor in the end as upsets are seen every month in the fight game new kinds are crowned and will always be" so think folks of the overall factors and records of these fighters when trying to measure them up with future oponents, when it come down to its pride, honor and hunger that motivates. Bam there it is'''''

Wlad has limited boxing skills? Peter is small? Where do you live? The only thing that is questionable about wlad is his chin. Peter weighs in at 253. And hay may be able to put down guys at 205, but let's see how he does against guys who outweigh him by 30 pounds. Better question is can he take their power? I actually liked the guy untill he opened his mouth. Now i want either Wlad or Peter to crush him.

Come on folks, all these guys deserve respect. While I've given boxing a very large amount less attention due to the action in the UFC, Boxing is VERY much a wonderful sport & these are the TOP competitors in the sport & division.
I really think that this fight could go either way even if I WOULD predict Klitchko & I think it'll surprise EVERYONE & go the distance. It's gonna be a unanimous decission.

Like you, I'm more of an MMA fan, but i follow heavyweight boxing with a passion. I don't think Haye has the chin to take one of Klitchko's rights. Klitchko didn't throw a lot of them in the last fight, but one is all that would take for Haye. Haye doesn't have the best chin in the world, and that has been exposed by cruiserweights. What would happen against somebody 40 pounds heavier? But even if Klitchko knocked out Haye in the first round. All you would hear is Klitchko is picking smaller oponents with a weak chin. Everybody praised Peter for hitting Maskaev in the back of the head and knocking him down. If Wlad knocked Maskaev out, you would've heard, he is picking on smaller guys and Maskaev is old. not one praise. This is why i feel i must set people straight. Too much negativity focused on one guy for NO REASON. If he was a thug who bit people's ears and had a millions of illegitimate children he would've been praised.

Is too much negativity being focused on one guy for no reason.....I wonder ? Is the reason not that a boxer, who up until a couple of years ago was only famous for being dumped on the canvas (and let's face it, not quite his brother) is being talked about as the future undisputed champion.....despite what Peter (small in height at 6 foot, I meant, not in weight) thinks. Sure, nobody wants to take away Wlad's achievements albeit in a mediocre world.....question is, does he really have the hunger ? Is he Rocky or is he Ivan Drago ?

You know Vitali is gonna fight Sam Peter...I'm not gonna lie I am a very big Klitchko fan and well I Vitali should consider a warm up fight against...Haye who wouldn't even fight Firat Arslan who for the record is a very aggressive boxer but I would love to see one of the klitchkos or Peter put Haye in his place.

Surely Vitali cannot possibly be thinking of taking on Peter without a warm-up fight (or two)......by the summer he'll be 37 and out of the ring for 3 and a half years. All due respect to his Emeritus status, but that was given to cover a year-ish out of the ring. I'd rather see him fight Juan Carlos Gomez first (he is the WBC #1 contender after all); if he beats him then there can be no gripes.

Vitaly Has to fight peter now. He can't afford to have a couple of warm up fights with his failing health. Time is now. I do wish he would shut Haye up first. Guy is dissrespectfull and tasteless.

Klitschko would toy with Haynes,Hayne , whoever he is. There isn't a fighter in the World that can beat Klitschko, let alone the fat blobs we've got over here in Bklyn-USA that looklike chocolate milkshakes. Forget it. All thats left here is old man holyfield, Butterbean, Holmes, 50 yr old Leon, and that rope dope that shakes.

I agree that no one out there can beat klitchko, but no need to insult the legends of boxing.

Either Klitchko had not so avreage trains several years back and still won fight. They were both good fighters then. Today, they are intelligent, fast, powerful, big as in chisled and well trained. I have the 2 as great and ,imo, both will go out without a loss since taking the HW Title. Their looks are deceiving and the 'all talk' HWs in the USA find out quickly. Scarry thing, thery are relatively young and getting better and both train extremely hard. All buisness. We just don't hear about them because they are both white.

Keep on dreaming. Either you are a wigger, or a black that has to face the fact that the badest man on the planet is white. Just accept. Keep your arteries clean.

Peter would be Klitschko's warmup fight.

I think you're mistaken. Dude was on Klitchko's side. Maybe you should read posts before replying with racist bs.
