Beach Volleyball Bikinis and Women's Bodies in Public Space

There are 15 comments on the www.theatlanticcities.com story from Aug 1, 2012, titled Beach Volleyball Bikinis and Women's Bodies in Public Space. In it, www.theatlanticcities.com reports that:

I'm trying to imagine a different world. One in which a female mayor of an Olympic city, writing in a legitimate publication, would celebrate the presence of "half-naked" men engaged in a sporting event - synchronized diving , perhaps? - and comparing their bodies, with a lascivious wink, to those of animals.

Bikinis and bodies

It's the ECONOMY and JOBS!

1. gas prices starting to inch higher
2. people stopped buying
3. food prices are outrageous and will get worse
4. our homes have been DEvalued
5. What democrats did from 2008-2010 has NOT helped the American economy
6. Voters sent a message to the democrats in 2010, change course
7. Democrats FAILED to heed the 'shellacking' and the economy is showing that their policies continue to hinder the growth of America, its citizens

NO to OWEbama in NOvember

Reclaim our country from those who let it decline.

FAILURE of Obama to work with BOTH sides of the aisle to put America on the correct course.

That's why people voted for Obama. They saw him as someone who would work with ALL elected officials.

Now, it's just Obama's personal agenda, not compromise.

Mitt Romney will work with all elected official to get this country moving and people employed. HE has the skills and has demonstrated that over and over in business and caring for the people.

I support both beach volleyball AND women's bodies - especially the attractive kind. Combining the two just seems like a good kind of synergy, right? Like, oh, peanut butter and chocolate?:)

That is a cute little song, but if clinton had killed Osama when he had the chance instead of rolling cigars it would not be so crowded and my flag decal would get me into heaven.

Clinton did the best he could. He launched the missile strike on Osama Bin Laden's training camp, but Bin Laden has just left. Clinton almost killed Bin Laden.

President Clinton warned GW Bush that Bin Laden was the greatest threat to America's security, and left the military intellience hunting for Bin Laden. GW called off the search, ordered all investigations that pointed toward the Saudis (financiers of Al Qaeda) stopped, and took a six-month vacation; interrupted only by pleas for a capital gains tax cut.

How can you blame Clinton?

He knew how dangerous he was and had the chance to let the cia do a little wet work but I am sure you want evidence you can read about so

Bill Clinton denies it now, but he once admitted he passed up an opportunity to extradite Osama bin Laden.

And NewsMax has the former President making the claim on audiotape.[You can listen to the tape yourself]-- Click Here -. http://archive.newsmax.com/audio/BILLVH.mp3

Clinton's comments and his actions relating to American efforts to capture bin Laden have taken on renewed interest because of claims made in a new ABC movie, the "Path to 9/11," that suggests Clinton dropped the ball during his presidency. Clinton has also angrily denied claims the Monica Lewinsky scandal drew his attention away from dealing with national security matters like capturing bin Laden.

During a February 2002 speech, Clinton explained that he turned down an offer from Sudan for bin Laden's extradition to the U.S., saying, "At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America, so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him."

But that wasn't exactly true. By 1996, the 9/11 mastermind had already been named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing by prosecutors in New York.

9/11 Commissioner former Sen. Bob Kerrey said that Clinton told the Commission during his private interview that reports of his comments to the LIA were based on "a misquote."

During his interview with the 9/11 Commission, Clinton was accompanied by longtime aide and former White House counsel Bruce Lindsey, along with former national security advisor Sandy Berger, who insisted in sworn testimony before Congress in Sept. 2002 that there was never any offer from Sudanese officials to turn over bin Laden to the U.S.

But other evidence suggests the Clinton administration did not take advantage of offers to get bin Laden -- and that the Monica Lewinsky scandal was exploding during this time period.

At least two offers from the government of Sudan to arrest Osama bin Laden and turn him over to the U.S. were rebuffed by the Clinton administration in February and March of 1996, a period of time when the former president's attention was distracted by his intensifying relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

One of the offers took place during a secret meeting in Washington, the same day Clinton was meeting with Lewinsky in the White House just miles away.

It is an audio tape of Bill Clinton speaking not their editorial of what they said. Sounds like you are the one not credible since you dismissed it without even knowing what it was.

That "extradite" Bin Laden story is a FOXLIES pipedream. Extradite him for what?
Unindicted? What does that mean to you legally?

At that time he had no criminal past, no known anti-US crime activity. He was a troublemaker to other Moslem nations, and they could have doine all the 'wet work' that wanted.

Truly, you do the president a disservice. At the time Clinton attemped to eliminate Osama Bin Laden with a cruise missile atack upon his camp, the GOP in the Senate and House derided this action, calling it "wagging the dog." Do you remember that?

Think first. Don't buy FOXLIES, even if they are 'repackaged,' they are still untrue.

The President of the USA should be expected to be neither a prophet nor a murderer. You want him both.

THROW AWAY THOSE SILLY "BATHING SUITS."

Still wrong. Wrong President.

You need to blame the one who put the grossly incompetant Condi Rice in a head on the NSA and then went on a six month vacation.
