RDT: How have you come to this -BLOG-? How's life in -Baltimore?- You have the 77th entry (My Pap, his -age-!!). Of Course, Pacquiao is -Sensational- When has YOUR PERSON become -aware- of this boxer? I ask, because,-actually- "Pac Man" came to International Notice in the REALLY BIG at the point of the first Marco Antonio Barrera match-up (a Surprise TKO win for Pacquiao). YOU DO REALIZE, going into his last two bouts, he ALREADY was the LB4LB "King". Massimo Cini a "Regular" in the Jerry Quarry Foundation says of Pacquiao that he is "Like two Man" in Ring. AND: All these fights you mention are "great match-ups". Doesn't Floyd need to get past Juan Manuel Marquez, 1st though? Mayweather has been "off" so, we can't really know if that short time was good for him or a detriment. Shane has seemed to find "New Life" (he was VERY ACTIVE for EVERY MINUTE in his most -recent- VERY STUNNING VICTORY). Because of "Styles" Cotto --maybe-- would be Manny's "softer touch" in this LIST. A Mayweather fight is a SUPER PROMOTION as is the other two as well. I can't tell you how the "odds" might -sway- but, most likely they will be --going back, and going forth-Personally...When the "smoke" CLEARS...I hope, Mosley can be the one at Center. So..Who is RDT?

Becoming more and more of a interested casual fan of the sport. Have a good friend where I work you might actually know I think, Brian Roberson. He did some boxing in Germany while in the US Army. I visit Topix fairly often to take part in discussions or rants. Just happened across a boxing topic and saw your posts. Laughed my arse off. You have personality and that goes a long way.

Life in Baltimore is introducing me to my first taste in life, possibly, of getting laid off from industrial work. Other then that this place is okay. The location between DC, NYC and Philly has it's rewards. Politically I don't fit in here. I'm an Okie from Muskogee... Scratch Muskogee and insert Lawton. I'm sure you've heard of my hometown. I can't imagine too many Army vets not having heard of it.

I first became aware of Pacman with his second Morales fight. He, in my memory, had to be one of the most exciting fighters I can remember thus far. Loved how the styles of the two men worked together. Made for one hell of a contest. From there started talking to Brian about boxing and the skills of the best fighters. I just find it very interesting. I guess it's the West's official martial art.

Lb 4 Lb I've heard contested before the Hitman fight. I was hearing talk that Marquez was getting much credit for his fights in the ring with Pacquiao. I can't say I know how to score a round properly, but outside of the rounds where Pacman canvased Marquez, Marquez contested a large enough number of rounds to put the decision in question reasonably for me, at least. The styles again made for a hell of a match, but even in my limited knowledge of the sport, I can tell that Pacman has grown as a fighter or shows incredible discipline to take direction from his corner in the short time I've become a loyal fan.

I'm of the opinion money will dictate the fights Pacquiao takes from here out. Mayweather-Pacman is a fight definitely going to happen. If Marquez beats Mayweather, then Pacquaio-Marquez III will happen after Mayweather-Pacman. I'm interested who Pacman will fight later this year. I've heard Arum will wait 'til after the Cotto fight to decide on that.

Interesting your career as a boxer. The closest I've experienced in the fields of athletics is a judoka. I was a high school champion at my weight in Oklahoma, which isn't high praise. I fought in the Judo Jr Olympics and cut weight to get to the lower weight class. My first and only experience doing that. Didn't properly rehydrate afterwards or rest. Went up Pikes Peak outside Colorado Springs and passed out in gift shop. You live and you learn. Double elimination. Lost twice. Eliminated. I never took training seriously. Got to train with a guy who the sensei said had serious chance to make US Olympic team for judo, but he wasn't a serious enough competitor to do what the coach was telling him. Too bad for him. Can't remember his name today. My judo sensei was ex-Army and was at that time the sole judoka who had received his black belt from the Kodakan in Japan.

Yeah, just had been busy knocking back a few and never got back around to answering your reply. Sorry, for that. Appreciate your opinion. As you noticed, I'm not the boxing aficionado you are - mistaking supermiddleweights for welterweights. I guess I'm in a steep learning curve.

My first Froch fight was Jermaine Taylor. I thought he looked off balance and awkward in his style the entire fight. When Taylor had the chance to finish him he failed. I'm not sure what happened to Taylor. He seemed to just quit and gave the fight to Froch. Froch's last fight with Andre Dirrel, I thought Dirrel tried to copy Mayweather's style of fight and just got out pointed by Froch. Not Froch's fault, but I think if Dirrel had just pressed Froch, instead of trying to a Mayweather clone, he would have had much more success. Arthur Abraham will smoke Froch. His seems patient enough to take advantage of Froch's awkwardness and imbalance.
