'Boutique hotel' planned on Candleworks property

Duxbury developer Andrew Rockett plans to construct a "boutique hotel," condominiums and restaurant alongside the landmark Rodman Candleworks building and should be ready to apply for permits in September, the project's architect said Monday night.

Bout time.....New Bedford needs more development like this. Hopefully it don't take ten years to build it like all our other projects!

hopefully this project happens. would be nice to see more development for the city. for what they are playing, I would think the building would be a little taller though. I don't think 4 floors is big enough, they should build it a little taller. just my opinion........
