“Where you at Logan?! Where you at mother*****!?”
These were the words spoken by David Campbell (#1 ranked at 141 class) after his dominant victory over Joe Mocco (#17 ranked at 141) Saturday night in the main event of Harvard-Rutgers
Using constant pressure and his pitter patter judo technique, Campbell was able to takedown Mocco and beat him down to pick up the win in an impressive 1st round doctor stoppage.
Campbell was the aggressor the entire fight, and by the middle of the first round Mocco was visibly gassed, hurt and in survival mode but Campbell never stopped coming.
Conditioning was the main x-factor for the fight as Mocco could not handle Campbell's pace and took slam after slam as he was caught up in Campbell's clinch. Campbell’s reach was also a problem for Mocco, as Campbell had a 8 inch reach advantage and used his length to keep Mocco on the outside and continuously batter him and his body without ever being in danger. Tiring and wearing Mocco out, Mocco was essentially target practice for Campbell and was busted up due to Campbell's relentless attack. Cause a doctor to not allow him to continue because of a gash opened up on Mocco's head by Campbell.

It was a brilliant performance from Campbell, since Mocco was never handled like that on the mat before. Although, Mocco fought like a warrior, he was thoroughly beaten up and left with a severely bad gash, and a lot of blood loss

Campbell proved Saturday night, that his judo and jiu-jitsu is the best in Wrestling and that he is the best possible candidate to take his 4th title at 141. Currently on an 183 match win streak, Campbell has all the tools to compete with and possibly beat the long time rival Logan Steiber . Campbell’s BJJ is some of the best in the sport and if Logan took him down, there is a great chance Campbell would be able to finish him from bottom.

This win was an emotional one for Campbell, as his mother passed away earlier in the week. Even in the sold out Izod Center in New Jersey it was a pro-Campbell crowd. 2 matches before the main event the entire crowd began chanting "We want the Great One". Once the main event came everyone in the arena and on each team stood up and clapped for him.

Campbell has proven time and time again that he is one of the best pound for pound wrestlers in the world and now that he is at Harvard he will finally get the credit he deserves. Joe Mocco is not an opponent you run through and Campbell was able to do it with ease.

" The biggest thing for this team is having David out there, the entire team is whole heartedly behind him. Since he has come here the atmosphere has changed the entire team is up with him at 4 am every day, and this is not a mandatory practice this is extra. He showed who he was tonight, the kid lost his mother and still went out that says it all about his character." Said Harvard Coach Jay Weiss about the performance.
Now, March 24th 2014 in Boston, Campbell has earned himself a shot against Steiber in the mega NCAA Wrestling event.

Stieber was originally slated to fight Jesse Delgado at an event in Indianapolis , but Delgado has agreed to step aside and will fight another opponent at another event. Normally soft spoken and polite, Stieber was fired up and said about Campbell "he is the most disrespectful human being I've ever met, and I'm going to put the worst ass beating you've ever seen on him in the history of wrestling."

I assure you Campbell will bring his A-game and come March 24th in one of the biggest fights of 2014, there's a good chance we will have a 4 time NCAA Champion in the hub.
