Who wrote: This story ran on 10/3/2006. Why is this being trotted out AGAIN.. It will run--the last time with over a 1000 comments. It usually gets Scott involved and he espouses his considerable "knowledge" and the topic is totally lost. Why do these old treads continue to be cleared and restarted. Nothing has happened since 2006. I then do we really care what the Mallory woman thinks? Definitely a webmaster should be cleaning these old threads out. The last thing we want is to give Scott another soapbox from which to preach.

Is there any way we can just ban her kids form school? Or maybe her from government meetings?
I know she absolutely believes what she is doing is right but it won't change what's in the school libraries. It also flies up my nose and annoys me. If she admits that it is a reconized religion why can't she leave it alone? Her religion is a reconized, I assume, and no one is agitating to have all books containing references pulled from school libraries.
I going to assume her religious leanings are christian and just point out that Jesus advocated tolerence didn't he?

AS for the Adam and Eve story, to truly understand it, you need to read the older and more fuller versions of the story. The shorter Gen version leaves out a whole lot of needed information.
Simply put, before that eating of the apple, humans were on the same mental level as animals.
Think about it. animals don't feel shame for licking them selfs in public. Nor feel the need to wear clothes. Very few mate for life. Homosexuality is part of dominating and bonding. The list goes on. Some animals can be trained to obey their masters/owners.
It was called the Tree of Knowledge for a reason.
The 'pre apple' days are not all it was cracked up to be. i have 4 kids they make choices of there own.They was raised right from wrong.They was raised that God is always watching them they dont want tobe doing the wrong thing when God returns.No my kids arent perfect by no means but I can truest my kids they come to me or there father if they need to talk.My 12 is told she thinks shes better than others.Here is her words.God made us all equal we all have choices my choice is to not smoke try drugs or drink but your choice may be different thats ok.Then she comes home told her father and I mommy we need to pray for so and so because he or she wants to be like the others.

Ever heard of a little thing called "FREEDOM OF SPEECH"?!?!? Books should'nt be banned from schools or any other place for that matter because of their contents. If one person or one religion dislikes the book- go ahead, bann it from your life. Just don't take it out on kids who HAVE A RIGHT to read whatever they want!

I am catholic and i have NO CLUE what anyone's talking about! How the heck is Harry Potter a bad example for kids?!?!? i LOVE the Harry Potter series and anyone who wants to ban those books- or any others for that matter- because of their religious belifes is just plain STUPID!!

Never knowing that some satanist groups and black witchcraft roups believed hurting children pleased their master and gave them evil powers. Not to mention the new threats. Sexual deviates and other weirdos who are attracted to children. The whole subject in my opinion needs to be avoided. Just a byproduct of a screwed up and really wicked world. Well then you obviously have not a clue about the origins of Halloween then do you? You are simply prepared to believe whatever lies fit in which your believes. Shame on you for bringing people into the world to carryon these views for you. No matter what their religion I hope unlike you they learn to read and explore other paths before giving a completely biased judgement.
