I like that Dan Brown is using Washington DC as his backdrop instead of a popular European city. This time, anything that occurrs in 'Lost Symbol' may influence you to visit DC and see where each event unfolds. Others could say that Brown is borrowing ideas from a movie with a similar basis: 'National Treasure'.
