Who cares? This series is finished. Nice way to jump on board a fading franchise, Universal.

I love people who post "who cares" but care enough to read the article and post about it.

As a Potter fan, yes the series is over, but if you like a saga like Potter, then a dream come true would be to submerge yourself in it. Look at Star Wars fans or Star Trek fans or Disney fans. They may not have a big film out or the main story may be over, but there's still enjoyment. Many kids grew up with Potter, that's a "lifetime" of memories. I don't see Potter as a fading franchise. I know many fans who continue to re-read the books and many more who eagerly await the movies.

I'm glad the last book will be 2 parts. A big irritation I've had with the movies is certain edits, like omission of the Marauder's Map origins since it involves Harry's parents, friends, and their ties to Snape. If JK has even approved it, she must have faith in the producer and director, and I do too. I'm just glad they're giving the audience all the rich details they're owed.

It sounds like it will be cool. I've been pretty happy with the movies and I'm a huge fan of the books so I'm sure it'll be fine.

Well, I didn't read the story, just the headline. But I think Harry Potter has worn out his welcome. Star Wars would have been fine with 3 movies. 8 Potter movies? Gimme a break. This is a cash-grab, pure and simple.
