Release of Book Black Minqua The Life and Times of Henry Green

Black Minqua if the story of Henry Green, A Free Black living in Lancaster County in the 1800's. He was the son of Benjamin Green a Mulatto and Sarah a White Woman. They lived in Salisbury and Colerain township. Henry Green was a participant in the Christiana Resistance and Civil War out of Lancaster County. The book touches on the History of the Green Family who were written about extensively in Newspapers, as far back as the 1790's. Thomas Green Senior, is the oldest recorded Green (died 1737), and received Warranted Land from the sons of William Penn, Thomas, Richard, and John. There are also excerpts from writings of William Parker and News Articles written about the Welsh Mountain inhabitants over the years. One of the more interesting articles is an article written about Tom Green Junior, which stated that he was the head of Green's Banditti. The article ran in the Pennsylvania Gazette, a Newspaper published by Benjamin Franklin.
Another recently noted Green descendant is Author Julia Collins who is the pro ported daughter of John Green, a brother to Benjamin Green, and son to Tom Green Junior.
