Screw copart

I bid and won a so called runs and drive van. Went to pick it up and the motor had a rod thru the block to the point it would not idle longer than 15 seconds and would not hold oil. Not sure about anyone else but that is not drivable or running to me. They then shut my account and would not refund my $400 deposit which states on the site that it is fully refundable, needless to say we are in court now. This place is the biggest joke and con of a place I've ever seen in my 20 years of buying used cars in my life. I hope the worst for this company!!!!!!!

Some of you people are funny. Copart is like a junkyard. It sells damaged cars that can be fixed or drivable in another country or you can use the pieces to put on another car. If you bid on a car and win make sure you have the money to fix it back up or you'll just complain like a baby. DUH!!!

Do not believe anything listed. I bought few cars they said the car starts and they donot. Another car computer stolen from it Other dealer bring salvage cars that they are half way repaired and sell them
Buyer beware.
Buyer beware
It is only worth buying a car from them if you are buying it for parts or pay only 10% value of the car

part is not a place to attempt to by a running and driving car! you dont buy a car sight unseen and expect it to run! like the ad said "place for car guys!" any legit "car guy" would know full well A JUNKYARD selling a car for FIFTY DOLLARS is not guna run and off the lot! Your just all upset cause you got played for a fool!! I just won an 05 ford ranger, 4x4, crew cab, etc... for $975. it was in a flood. it says runs and drives, but guess what I'm doing, I'm driving 4 hours in a diesel truck and trailer just to be safe! and Heck if it doesn't run I'll bring home .......... AND FIX IT! after im done I could easily "turn and burn" it for 7 grand!! too bad I like the truck too much! weird how that works! Im 19 and I knew all that! oh and your first problem was buying a 16 year old honda out of a junkyard-_-

I also have placed several bids with Copart and have won. But when I call to get information on paying for my car... Copart decides not to sell the car. They are waiting for the owner of the car to accept the bid. Now, if there is a reserve price I an understand this. But this is an auction with no reserve. We are taking a risk buying damaged cars and they want full retail. It's crazy. Is this an auction? They need to rethink their business practices.

I've bought 2-cars from Copart, both were a great deal!
I buy in NC because only a 3 hour drive to check them out "BEFORE" I buy!
2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe, 60,000 miles been driving it for 2 years 82,000 now
1995 Mustang GT which had both airbags blown, put a tag on it bungy corded the hood down and drove it home! had it in loca car show this past weekend.

Both have salvage titles but, I have half or less money in them than a dealer car

GREAT COMPANY! but you have to know how to buy!
First and most important is never spend you're hard earned money on something you haven't seen!

Recently I bid on and won a car on www.copart.com and I got to see just how bad a company there really are. I believed a television ad that featured well-known drag racers-Kenny Bernstein and his son Brandon Bernstein. Boy-was I taken for a ride to Hell. I used the $1000 they "give" basic members to bid with and found a 1997 Honda Accord, but what happened next I never expected. Kenny and Brandon Bernstein don't tell you in the TV ad that Copart is a "Salvage Yard" they tell you "Where car guys buy cars". I had sold a van on eBay and the gentleman travel about 1000 miles to my home in New Mexico to get it. I figured that I could do something similar concerning this Honda Accord. I "hired" an inspectif we have ever had anyone drive a their yard under its own power! While waiting to see if they could ch and said "We have been screwed by these guys (Copart) before and I bet the mechanic you hired never inspected the car." I ended up leaving the car at the Copart facility and retug phone calls from Copart executives asking me to please tell them how they could make me happy and asking me to please remove the videos. Nothing came from the phone conversations and I still do not have the money I lost in the deal. My problem with Copart is still not resolved and my videos can be seen on Youtube, Metacafe and Dailymotion. All you have to do is Google "Copart Scam" and you will find a wealth of information on their deceptive ways of doing business. My mistake was not doing that search before I spent my money. I trusted Kenny and Brandon Bernstein and lost money because of it. I do not believe Kenny or Brandon would ever buy a car from Copart but they want us to. Copart never revealed to me the owner of the car. I found that out when I saw it on the title. The previous owner of the 1997 Honda Accord (Lot#16358300 was "Junk A Car Auction LLC". If I had know that I would have never bid on the car. In Realestate Contracts that is called "Non-Disclosure". I am not an attorney and Copart has plenty of attorneys. I guess when they tell you "As Is" that is the same as telling you "Beware you are on your own if you get a bad deal." I say there a lot better places to buy a car and Copart is not a "user friendly" company to by cars from. If Copart was a hamburger joint they would be go out of business in a short time because their food stinks and their service is even worse. Christopher Barton-a top executive at Copart Headquarters phoned me and promised me he would "make it right". He has never phoned me back and has done nothing to solve the problem. If the head of customer service Christopher Barton did this to me then what kind of customer service is to be expected by those that work for him? Please Google "Copart Scam" and watch the videos. Spread the word "Copart is not a good company to spend money at. Stay away from www.copart.com ".

I bet most of you complainers also fall for the nigerian scams. copart is not a scam. whenever you see car that has no damage at copart stay away because someone made it look like that. you can get good deals on cars from copart just do your research. 90 percent of cars at copart are insurance cars, that means there is at least 70 percent repair costs of the actual vehicle value and in many case over 100 percent of the value. you want clean title cars find a broker and use manheim auction that is where most dealers get their cars from and you will see a huge price difference. dont be stupid people always read the fine print and do remember if its too good to be true then it probably is. and if a radio is missing or an airbag chances are your tow truck driver took it for quick buck. I have many friends who make a living off copart. just be smart buy the cars where you can see the damage and consider the state you are buying from and check for little brown spots in the pictures for rust. just use your common sense people so you dont have to come crying on forums

Copart is a salvage vehicle auction. There are many of them all over the U.S. Anyone who would spend their hard earned money on something they didn't research is being iresponsible. That is not the companys fault it is yours! Insurance companies sell wrecked cars through copart, most buyers (except greedy idiots hoping to get a great deal)are salvage yards looking to sell the parts,(where do you think all those junk yards get thier cars. I have bought many motercycles from copart, some I was able to inspect others i was not, but I have never been suprised by what I recieved because I knew what to expect.
