CONGRATS Jasleen. It would wonderful if you could share your experience and the visit to the parlour. Or did you get it done from a barber sop? Has someone from your family done a hair cut earleir, or are you the first one? It would be so nice to share these points. Anyways, congrats once again for a 'new' beginning!

Hello friends today my mamaji with family came to home.he lives in other city.after long time he came to our home.my mamaji, mamiji, his daughter and son also came.he came after long time so decided to live with us for some days.we were happy .they all were surprised to see change of ours mom with bob,me with mohawk and bro with mushroom cut.they even dont know about names of haircuts.mamji asked reason about change.mom said vse ee dil kita and bore ho gyi si lambe waalan ton.mamiji said ok but suddenly from too long to bob?then mom said no,it was in intervals.fir mom ne mamiji nu dsya ki phla rebonding lyi gye si odo shoulder tk cut krvaya te rebonding krvayi.then after some weeks bob cut krvaya.fr mamiji ne saade baare puchya mom ne keha that she herself cut hairs of her small son as he gets late from skool everyday and elder son went to saloon with his chachiji for haircut.mamiji asked reason mom said they dont want to have long hairs and tie turban so they got cut.mamiji whole family is complete sikh.they do evrything even eat non veg but never cut a single hair.then me,bro and cousins went to my room.my both cousins also asked us about change then i said that i hate long hairs and beard.so get the cut and shave.my sister asked about my hairstyle.i said mohawk style.she asked me for touch i allowed her.she feels good and said short hairs look good.cousin bro also likes it.then i asked her about cut or trim, she said never and his bro also never trim his beard.i asked them the reason they said parents dont allow.i was surprised to see,if they dont want long hairs they should cut them.they both were grown.but i feel lucky that i have such an open minded mom...

Hi Raj every body is proud of u
I have been reading this topic when I was in Canada it's 95% fake especially gold he or she is haircut fetish which means sick suffering from some sort of illness or mental depression we should donate some money to get gold treated from some good vet or mental doctor

I am successful and have more confidence then most of the losers. If you feel cutting your hair and losing your identity makes you stronger then actually you are the weakest person ever. Please confirm if you go abroad and you are bullied about being brown will you bleach your face. It is so sad to see such a person who has no confidence although the top respected people are sardars in the world. Please confirm why you have to emphasise on your name and religion if you had a turban everyone would know who you are a singh.

Hi I totally agree with u it's true all the gurus had long hair and beard in the past
Ranvir Singh wrote:
All of you cowards can cut your hair and become like the rest of the hindus in Bengal, Mumbai, Delhi, UP or wherever you are. You can go to the mandir and do your puja there as well. At this rate Sikhism will disappear from India just like Buddhism did. You are not Sikhs, you are just Punjabis. Two different things altogether.
Here in the UK there are many turbaned Sikhs and Singhnis. We don't worship Shah Rukh Khan here like you lallus do.
There is no discrimination in the west to Sikhs. In fact we are respected a lot here. If you have good qualifications and communication skills then you will get a job.
I myself wear a turban and have worked for some of the top banks in the UK and US.
You get teased by your hindu class mates? Well you better fucking learn some self defence and beat their skinny asses. Do you think Banda Singh Bahadur or Hari Singh Nalwa would take this teasing?
If they so much touch your turban then give them such a beating that they will never say anything again.
And let me remind you that all of the Hindu holy men like Krishna had long hair and beard. You can see that Krishna had a joora. He also had a beard but the artists want to make him look more feminine/pretty so they have drawn him without a beard. Who on earth would grow their hair long and then completely shave the beard?
All sadhus and swamis like Ram Dev have long hair and beard. Buddha also had long hair and joora and I can guarantee you that he had a long beard, but like Krishna the artists want to make him look more 'pretty' like a woman. Jesus and Moses all had long hair and beard.
So next time a Hindu makes fun of your joora just remind them that their Krishna also had a joora (and beard) and that their holy men all have joora and beard. Watch them shut up.

I am 22 years jatt sikh boy and belong to a sikh family in which there are no cut serd even in near or far relations. I am living in delhi since last one year and here share my room with Ashish Shah who is from jaipur and is a hindu. His mother side is sikh while his paternsl side is hindu. But after marraige his mother also became a hindu and started cutting her hair. He sometimes makes mockery of my hair and joora and calls me a giani, bodha etc. he also holds in my joora and keeps on moving it and irritating me. He being a hindu has short cropped hair and clean shaven look and just took 5 mins everyday to get ready while i took 2 hours. One evening he suggesedme to accompany him to a saloon for his haircut. I was tying my patka when ashiah snached the patka from my head. Then he made me undrstand the need for haircut and meanwhile opened my joora. Then he made me feel his hair, then he took his electric shaver and brought it closer to ku beard and i closed mu eyes, i wanted to move my face away but ashish's persuasion made me sit still till all my beard went down. Then ashish took a scissor and ran it actoss my joora. Then he took me to a saloon for a haircut. Now i am a clean shaven guy with a normal short haircut. I cried and hugged ashish as due to hid bold step i was able to do so.

Congrats Karan! When it has to happen, it has to be sudden just as you have done it. If you had thought about it, you would never have done it. You will feel the difference. How did your other friends react. Did you celebrate your 'freedom'? The 'new' look will take some time to settle but you will begin to love it and appreciate it. And the pleasure of experiencing new styles and the clippers along your nape and along the ears is just to be enjoyed! Brilliant and congrats to your friend Ashish. Go to his house for some days and share the experience with his mother. She will surely appreciate your step and the gesture of Ashish. Keep posting more experiences.

Last tym as i said , i had trimmed my hair a bit , this tym i reduced their length to half . from waist length to mid back hair. Am reducing the length slowly, as i dont want a sudden change and i want to experience d feel of scissors with each cut. Soon will go much shorter and den to a buzz cut. With each cut , d head feels much lighter than bfre.

I cut it. I trimmed it. Gosh it feels so good. From beneath my chin. The sides are the same so as to not let anyone into my secret. But below the chin jI have trimmed it a lot. I can now actually feel the stubble and the tiny hairs.
IT FEELS SO GOOD!!!
