The person who really Love Guru Gobind Singh Ji (plus GOD's Nature) would never think about of cutting hairs. True sikh knows the value of keeping hair wearing turban. people are just finding exucise how to get rid of this & pin the blame on religion restrictions

I am happy that all fictitious stories of dubious persons are over. Let good sense prevail. Back to Guru back to sabat surat. Sikh means student who is on the path of learning Gur Bani. Some Anti sikh people say SGGS is a book but can you imagin philophy of dasham guru that more than 300 years ago he thought that sikhs can learn every thing of life from Books when literacy rate was below 2 perCent.

When I was small my mom cut my hair in salon as she has a beauty parlour and in our family we religious from heart but didn't want to keep hair as it doesn't matter whether we keep or not but 2 months ago when I read manjit kaur's comments that why we keep hair, after reading that I decided that I will never cut them in life because I truly love guru gobind singh ji

And after this decision there were so many tensions, problems now they are totally solved guru ji solving my all problem now my life is much better than past now my all family members are planning for keeping their hair. My life is awesome now
people who think they look good with cut, this thing his true girls look more beautiful and different in long hair and boys also look more handsome in turban rather than cut surd
there are some girls who don't like turban boys
I recommend to all boys don't cut your hair for them because girl who truly likes you, she never think how you look she always see your heart sn be allert good luck to all . Dhan guru nanak dev ji

@Simran, Sultanpur: Congratulations! It is nice that you have the confidence of your mother. It is a very good relationship that you maintain with your mother. She did the right thing to accompany you to the saloon and get haircut.
Wish you all the best. Do write in detail about the experience, so that some others my be liberated and courage for haircuts.

Yesterday i got a haircut after having hair for 24 years. Really feeling nice with short bouncy hair unlike the tied knot and the heavy turban. I never tied a good turban and moreover it used to take a lot of time to be tied probably it was so becoz i had lready decided to cut my hair since i was in class 8th and was waiting for getting confidence to defend this action of mine. I never used to tie a patka and always used to wear a cap so that i might not loose my frontal hair and moreover had a head bath thrice a week to keep hair healthy. When i went to hostel i cut down my hair to just tie a pony containing bare minimal hair till my neckline but did not disclose it to my family. But yesterday when i went for a regular trim to the saloon with my friend Saurabh he told me to keep shorter hair in front and long at back as how when i am goona go home i will be wearing a turban. O agreed for it but the barber somehowisinderstood the cut and cut down the frontal hair shorter but the pony was scrapped off. Till the time i noticed it was over but all in all i was feeling very happy. Then i took a shave and came back home.
