@Gold- Me v aahi soch reha.. Why is she ( Punjabaan ) so much interested in minimizing judda into juddi.. Instead of shortening them why don't he get rid of his judda.. This will resolve his problem completely..

U will say the spots I part of growing up but it's only where my paktah is so the paws get blocked

@also Gold (Aligarh): This suggestion by Punajbaan to reduce weight of 'jooda' to make it 'joodi' is very good. Actually many families do not like to see boys with haircuts for various reasons. So this method is resolved by the mothers and/or barbers to cut off the hair from the centre of the head and leave longer hair on the sides. it makes an impression that the person is having a jooda and the person is happy that he has a reduced weight in his head as well as the liberty of wearing a cap/patas when he feels. Also having a head bath, especially in summers, is so convenient. I think it is a most practical way to remain in the sikh stream and also to enjoy the barber experience.
I remember that there were a few boys in our hostel who had adopted this method and were happy with it. When the hairs inside grow out, they went for a trim and the 'joodi' was to size.
I also remember a classmate of mine whose mother started this as it was a problem to wash and comb his long hair. he was ever grateful to her. he went to the barber shop every two weeks and got his 'haircut'. He actually inspired many more to get into this mode. So I think it is best if there are issues in the family for a proper haircut.
The haircut can be done when situation improves!
Good for sharing this method, Punjabaan.

try the method to get your 'jooda' into 'joodi' as suggested by Punjabaan. Go to a barber shop and explain that you want the centre hairs off - close clipperred to the scalp - and the sides left untouched. A lot of hair will fall off and you will feel relief. Also your parents will not really object as you still have a 'jooda' to show!
Living in US maybe you will have to explain the entire process; because in India the barbers know what to do. Maybe you can tell him that a modified Chelsea style is what you need. In this case the sides (outer hairs) are to remain untouched.
Go ahead man and enjoy the summer. Relax and get weightless!

Thank u Gold ..... yes that person will have an option to wear cap or bandana ..... otherwise after a certian age big judda looks were odd .. my hubby's cousin bro has a big judda .... all her cousin sisters who are elder to him .. makes fun of big judda .. they sometimes pull it or blow it as a horn .. they have kept his name as headlight or antena .. and if that poor boy has wased his hair .. he will be teased like anything. I come frm hindu family .. but i dont like this teasing .. i always stop them .. he was very demotivated and use to think that judda is the a reason

Friends today i chopped my some hair at home. i dont went to college today.my parents were not at home.only me and my sister were at home.my sister has haircut.i talked to her about my problem.she supports me and said that i will cut your hair from center and manage parents.she told me to bring scissors.then i sit on chair.she put a big cloth around me.after this she open my long hairs.firstly she reduce the length of my hair.afterwrds she started cutting hairs from center.soon this finished.my head becomes light.she removed my cloth.the floor was full of hairs.my sister clean that and throw it in dustbin.den she told me to take headbath.i really enjoyed it,as the hairs were short.after headbath i do my jooda and dat was too small,so i decided to wear a cap.now i am so happy and waiting for real haircut which will be surely in saloon.thanx punjaban and gold...
