she has already cut her hair long back..go through all the posts. almost 90% of the young sikh girls cut their hair off . the reamining 10% are either ugly or snobs.

you must have kept your hair long but u would be regularly trimming it... keeping long hair beyond waist length is painful talk which almost all sikh girls suffer.n dont force your son... please also keep track of his wishes and desires.

Well Guys, I think the party went long..
Finally, I have my hair cut.. It feels so good.. Im the same human.. No change in nature or character.. Still read 'Jap Ji Saheb'.. Still love my parents, still do serve at Gurudwara..
The only change came is: I have gained my confidence.. Headaches are far away from me.. Now, my focus is on studies not on my paining turban ( during class )..
Well those days are gone when killing with your sword in no offence.. But, its 21th century.. High-tech pistols are much better than keeping a Knife.. According to the defination both are lethal weapons.. And, not allowed in any secure zone.. Then, why people keep it..
Finally, i just want to say...
We live only once.. Then, why live in struggle when it becomes easy just after a small sacrifice..

Go Ahead and don't force your SON ( especially ) to keep hair..
Bcs, many of his wishes will be dreams only..

After 2hrs of reading this post, what I found is people want to know the experience..
So, here is mine..
I was planing to cut my hair from 6th stn.. But never did.. I was scared of my parents especially father..
Last summer, I was fed up with my turban..
So, i made a plan.. Not a tricky but perfect..
On the first day of summer vacation, I told my parents that I want to visit all my relatives this time.. Obviously they agreed.. And, as planned I went to my 'Mama Ji's house in the morning.. I told my cousins about my paining turban and problems etc etc.. Here comes the evening 7june12 7:32pm.. I went to saloon alone and get rid of pain.. After, I came home about 8:30pm(Dinner time).. Evryone was shocked.. But, it was part of my plan.. It was dinner time.. No one gave me lessons.. Funny part is my nephew ask me 'tusi juda kitho ktaya' I replied 'xyz'.. And, with his opened eyes he asked ''dkaan haje v khuli hoegi ??''.. All laughed.. My cousin said '' hun tera muh dikhda ae '' i didn't told my parents yet.. But, somebody has to do my job.. So, my Mama Ji told my mummy all about the incidence... She scolded me then, my father on the phone and want me back home.. That was the time I stand back and replied '' hanji daddy ji, me jaldi aa ja ga ''.. But, who cares.. My nxt visit was Ludhiana.. Same again.. Everyone shocked.. But all my cousins said ''hun tu kaim dikhda ae''.. Changa kita.. I was like on seven sky... After 2 weeks of vacations.. I went back to home.. NOT alone, but with my cousins... Bcs, i was sure that DAD will not scold me in front my cousins.. And, i arrived on monday when he will get minimum time for me.. Cousins stayed there for 1 week.. And, evrthing went accoding to my plan..[ Sry about my ENGLISH.. ENG couse sikhh reha ]

LOL. U guys made hell of a haircut ? And in one story i get to know that a guy planned sooo much for a haircut ? WOW... U sure are some weird people guys.. U don't do what ur gurus taught you and you people are still roud to be a sikh ?
Your guru will not be happy for sure.. You people are a letdown for him...

About myself : Im a pure sikh guy from looks still because i wanna keep my parents happy as long as i can.. But everyone knows im an atheist from heart... So i will simply go for a haircut when i would wish to .. I will surely not make it like a "MOUNTAIN" just like u guys do..

Come on people. Does anything changes in a person when he gets a haircut ? He still remains same.. I don't think he looks even 1% better... fashion keeps changing and it will change to something else after 30 years. And then u people might again think to accept that one.. U are just a bunch of idiots.. Have fun ! enjoy life dumboooos !!!!!

I agree .. i dont know why they are after a hair cut .. i maintain long hair touching my hips .. i end up making a lovely big judda .. even i told my mother in law and sister in law that my son will look so cute in juddi .. when he grows up it will be his choice to continue with juddi or not .. but i m so fond of small sardar kids with little juddis ..

keeping long hair from my childhood(now i'am 17) i am balding.this depresses me as i 'am only 17 and bald(google search norwood 4). i did not want to keep hair from my childhood but my mother would not allow me to cut it,now i am pissed off seeing my condition,i hated my mother since grade 4th, i did not even call her 'mom' since 4th grade. nothing can be done now.
