There are some great American Women!

I guess you could say this is a counter thread to "American Women Suck".lol Back home I know some beautiful and intelligent women in Puerto Rico. Many of them would make excellent wives. And I've met some beautiful women in Jamaica as well. But since I've been living in America for 16 years,I've met some wonderful American women. Many of them have their own careers and are looking for a good guy to share their life with. I've had the pleasure of meeting many professional women who aren't ready ti settle down just yet. But I think it's all about the mindset a woman has at a certain point in her life. I also think we shouldn't generalize ALL American women. There are some who are vindictive and selfish. But there are some men like this too. And not all women are gold diggers or want to get pregnant and live on welfare. Stereotyping a whole race or gender solves nothing. And it gets us nowhere. There are American women who are kind ,generous and carry themselves like ladies. That's the type of woman I hope to marry someday. I just want to say that there are some American women who would make great wives and mothers.

With all due respect, JABBAR, even YOU must admit that your chances of finding the kind of woman you like are MUCH better back in the motherland. Or look at it like this: If you can tolerate an American woman then any other woman you meet will be worth her weight in gold. I know, because of your posts, that you really are a cool guy, but let's keep things in their proper perspectives. Yes, there are some good American women out there, but I personally wouldn't waste my time looking for one because I feel it would be exhausting. And even more importantly, the "system" put in place to supposedly protect women is, in fact, very ant-man. I say this because the "system" will assure that if you are (foolish enuff) to marry an American woman, you will be at a huge disadvantage in almost every way. Are you not aware that at least 50% of all American marriages end in divorce? Or that if you do get a divorce from an American women then you will have to support her (and the children that you have with her) for years on end- thus ruining yourself financially? That, in my way of thinking, is a very risky thing to do- marry an American woman, that is. I married a woman (an asian woman) because she values her family tremendously, and the last thing that she would want to do is get a divorce and destroy her family. Just listen to some of the crap some of the American women on these threads spew. Take "PaintedQuote" as an example. Here is an American women who is divorced, and yet she speaks casually of her divorce like it really doesn't mean anything. "But we are the best of friends now, so everything worked out", or... "My daughter hasn't been effected by not having grown up in a household with a father, and she is perfectly normal", you will hear her say- as if marriage is merely an option that, if it doesn't work out, can simply be "Return To Owner". You see, it probably doesn't mean too much to her because she is financially taken care of whether she gets a divorce or not, but most men are ruined financially when they get divorced. Afterall, how's a man supposed to start a new life if he still has financial obligations to his first family? If you listen to anyone then listen to me, JABBAR. I like you, and I don't want you to screw up your life. Marriage is an INVESTMENT, so for your own sake (and future), find a woman who is likely to hang around even when times get tough, and American woman are definately BLACKLIST material when it comes to making good wives and "standing by their man" when times get tough. I agree; there's plenty of quality people here that would make great spouses and parents but the trick is to be patient and to focus on finding the one that you're compatible with. You're a sweet person and so I'm sure that you're going to meet her sooner or later. Happy hunting!

I agree that divorce is NOT a god thing. I remember when my aunt and uncle got divorced and it was got UGLY! I agree with you that marriage is an investment. I will admit that the court system does lean in favor of women--most of the time. I guess it's because men are seen as the breadwinners,so they should make sure their wife and children are taken care of. I understand what you're saying. But I think I can find the woman who shares my same morals and values as I do. It wont be easy but I'm going to give it a shot.

I just want to remind you that Krabi hasn't lived in this country for years, hates all American and most white women, as far as I know has never been through an American divorce, has not had a child with an American woman (that he's admitted to), etc.

Trust your own navigational tools, KJ - you are on the right path, as opposed to Krabi who's living in a third world country (YES, Krabi - sorry, Thailand is STILL considered not even a Second World country, just yet - getting there but not just yet.), has palatable disdain for anything American and has no idea what it means to truly be respectful to a woman.

Patience will reap great rewards for you. If a woman doesn't feel as though you are sitting there with that famous Monty/Cam attitude of "3 dates and if you don't put out, you're done" she will (a) be more natural and comfortable with you,(b) you'll get the rep of being that guy, which means you will have more and more women say "yes" when you ask them out and (c) you will know you've got the kind of woman that doesn't jump in the sac to just hold onto a guy.

Also, if you are patient she will trust you more - emotionally, physically, sexually, financially, etc.

I'm glad that you've got your head on straight concerning this issue, JABBAR. The focal point here is not whether or not you can find a "good" American woman (They're ALL good at first, but I would STILL encourage you to marry a non-American women who still considers marriage to be important, as I feel that most American women obviously don't take it seriously, as I've mentioned before), it is a biased system that is clearly in favour of the woman. As I see it, if you marry an American you've only got a 50-50 chance that you will still be with her after 5 yrs, and that, for me, is not worth the risk.

I was sitting in Buckhead Atlanta with the Tech students getting drunk off Coronas less than 2 years ago, PQ, and I'll be taking my family to the Grand Canyon in March if things go according to plan, thank you. Actually, it's very interesting to be able to view American women from the outside looking in, and that's exactly what I've been able to do. You see, most American guys just don't travel out of the country and they simply don't know any better. And do you know what? I don't know ONE SINGLE American guy (literally out of hundreds) who wants to marry an American woman if he has spent any time abroad and off of American soil- NOT ONE! I've even known quite a few guys who have ended their marriages to their American wifes so they could "start anew" with asian, Eastern European, or 'hispanic' wives. Why is that, do you think? In Thailand alone, the # of middle-aged, more-or-less affluent American expats who have terminated their marriages to American women to relocate here and marry local Thai women is staggering! Mere coincidence,no? And btw, PQ: I'm not going to let you and your cronies poison JABBAR. He is too nice a guy for me to allow him to be seduced by you butt-ugly, nasty American medusas.

I've met some pretty asian women here in California. But to be honest, I prefer either Puerto Rican or Ethiopian women.

She got a job in New York last year. We tried the to have a long distance relationship but it wasn't working out. Plus,I think she met someone up there. Oh well,she's a beautiful woman. I hope I can get lucky enough to find one like her again. keep my fingers crossed.
