True Magnetic North wrote: <quoted text> I'm approaching my mid-30s. And now you're supporting the corporate war-mongers? I'm so disappointed in you, PQ. I thought you were more woman than that. Then you are too young to remember that war at all. And, like all wars, it's about more than the "corporate war mongers". I've never, ever supported the war in Iraq - but, I know people who's job it is to do what they are told and go where they are told. I know the pain they went through and, for that reason alone, I will NEVER, EVER lay blame for an Administrations decision on the troops. Besides, you've already said you don't vote here......you've done NOTHING to help....ergo, you are part of the problem. It's logic and if can't separate a man from his job, no wonder you have such issues with interpersonal relationships - ...you really should just rescind your citizenship.

Most people have cultural issues that they need to overcome for millions of reasons.....it's the weak that succumb to them without recognizing that each and every individual is just that - AN INDIVIDUAL. You're right there PQ. I love diversity in people and ignorance is what spawns prejudice, there are exceptions where people have had bad experiences from certain ethnic groups that have resulted in hatred for those people. A good example are the Jews that suffered under the Nazi abominations, many of these Jews still hate Germans and would never set foot in Germany ever, or even listen to German classical music. But for the rest of humanity where bigotry comes from no reason other than being inbred, it's, as you say, a mental weakness that put others at a lower level, so therefore inferior to themselves. It could be 'Gender', ethnic, economic, or religious prejudice to name but a few, however all prejudices are bullshit when they put one class lower than another. We may not like a person, but it should be based on their actions, or attitude, not on who they are. Well that's my rant for tonight.

I don't enough to say who "god" is, either - and I'm okay with that. BUT!!!!! It's NOT a rational way to manage a family and the finances, imo......I guess, unless you are Tom Cruise, when finances are somewhat elastic. I just head to the water and I'm always all good.

Does Topix inspire you? :) I hate to say it but, yeah - it's become quite the motivator for certain avenues for certain people in the story. Not in that the internet plays a big role in this story (I've just started my second where it does much more) but, I find ALL the people so fascinating - no matter who they are. They all just intrigue me.

BTW, thanks my handsome drunken, slovenly Limey! hahahaha! My Granny was English and was one of the most gentile, talented, sweet women I knew. I lost her very young but have very vivid memories of her. My pop talks about her with such affection.

Twisted Rick 316 wrote: <quoted text> I take it that you didn't understand that poem I posted on this site? I bet you would like to know what that poem is about? Well, It's about women who tend to dump their garbage on society because they're unhappy with their own lives. Don't get me wrong, there are men out there who tend to do the same thing to society. It's all about understanding ourselves when it comes to to loving others. If we can't love ourselves, then we sure as hell can't love the world we live in. Perhaps one of the most pertinent, interesting posts I think I've read of yours. My theory is that people are just too careless with each other - men and women.

paintedquote wrote: <quoted text> hahahahahaha! How about Scientology? The story starts as follows: "75 million years ago, there was an alien galactic ruler named Xenu who was in charge of 76 planets in our part of the galaxy, including our own planet Earth, whose name at that time was Teegeeack. All of the planets Xenu controlled were over-populated by, on average, 178 billion people. Social problems dictated that Xenu rid his sector of the galaxy of this overpopulation problem, so he developed a plan. Xenu sent out Tax Audit demands to all these billions of people. As each one entered the audit centers for the income tax inspections, the people were seized, held down and injected with a mixture of alcohol and glycol, and frozen. Then, all 1.4 trillion of these frozen people were put into spaceships that looked exactly like DC8 airplanes, except that the spaceships had rocket engines instead of propellers. " http://www.skeptictank.org/gen3/gen01985.htm I've been on a couple of threads lambasting Tom Cruise in general and Scientology in particular, and one wonders how supposedly grown people, with positions in life, can get taken in by crap like that. I guess even the rich and famous are gullible are no exception to getting sucked into scams, religion does it to people all the time, although I wouldn't class Scientology as a religion, it's more a cruel joke.

There always has been and always will be a difference between the soldier and the mission on which he's sent - a man (or woman) isn't the embodiment of their job....they are always more. What the toughest, hardest, most will-testing thing YOU'VE ever done? I'll bet my house NOTHING compared to someone who has served in the service - ANY service - NOT just US. I'm beginning to think you're nothing but a cry baby, Krabi. Very disappointing - after scratching the surface, I thought there may have been more there but, nope -(ALERT!!!! MONTY!!!!--->) I was wrong. And just to think that you were actually a woman with a backbone (sigh). Yeah, that's the spirit, PQ. Just keep "taking orders" and let things continue to deteriorate in that once-great country of yours. REAL men fight back and make revolutions that keep people with nefarious intentions from prevailing, but grass-eating cows like you only live to "take orders". P.S. And btw, I have dual citizenship so I at least did half of what you suggested. Thanks for your concern, tho.

You, my dear Krabi, are a true case of hard core, dyed in the wool, no holds barred f*cking frightening man. I truly pity your poor wife and your child. You have far too much negativity in you that you will teach - even without knowing it. In the end, you are a sad, dissatisfied, critical and bigoted angry man. That sucks. gotta run - game time with the girlie! Night all! Pity my family? They are more financially secure than you'll ever be, so what is there to pity? And yes, she is a "career woman", but she puts her family first. I bet you wish that you could say the same, but unfortunately you don't have much of a family left. And when the daughter grows up you'll find yourself old and alone with no one to think about you- much less care about you. Thank yourself, because you earned it.

I am fine but sleepy - had trouble waking up enough to get off at the right bus stop - ha ha - doesn't help that traffic was bad and took an extra 1/2 hour for the commute - now my eyelids are getting very heavy. I saw you posting about Monty and wondering about him. I hope he is getting some help. He seems to be so angry - he doesn't like women as a rule. but he doesn't really like anyone at all. I haven't see him with such disconnected thoughts though. I have a cousin on facebook who writes song lyrics and posts them. But she is not "emo" in fact she is usually posting about bright sunshine and angel wings and love - hey whatever it takes to get through the day - she's not hurting anyone. I thought maybe Monty was getting his thoughts out in the open and writing poetry or something, but I just wanted to make sure. I will let him figure it out himself, sure he doesn't need a hovering "big sister" I saw your name change - and I like it a lot -:o)
