Michelle , I'm so happy your are reaching your goal weight! That's awesome. I wish I could say I'm fitting into a size 6 right now, jealous! What weight did you start with and how much have you lost within the 6 weeks?
I just made a weigh in. I lost 5lbs my first week. I didn't cheat at all and I feel the number is quite low for it being my first week! I'm hoping for another 4-5 lbs lost next week!
I can tell this a very close supportive group and I'm happy I stumbled upon it
Brooke, Great job!! Make sure to drink plenty of water. Rock Steady:)

Started Optifast 800 this last Monday (the 23 rd). Waiting for my energy to pick up. Seems like the afternoons are the worse, when I feel the most fatigued. Sometimes I'm able to nap, but not always. Havent been too hungry, and i find it easy to drink my daily water amount. Just miss food!! Anyway, down 10 pounds so far, but I won't really be celebrating until I'm under 200 (I started at 230). Just the way I feel about it. Anyway, no cheating yet, and I hope I never. I want to get this liquid fast done as soon as possible! My favorite drinks are the chocolate shakes blended with black coffee, or coconut extract. I also like the vanilla shakes blended with sugar free caramel. I like blending all my shakes with a few ice cubes whenever I can for a slight slushie effect.:) I've also been exercising at least every other day.

Well, glad to have found this board. I'll be hanging around and checking in every so often.~caligirl

Congrats on starting. give it a few days to a week and your energy level will pick up. I was surprised at how easy I can function daily on 800 calories a day. My word of advise is try and work through hunger if ur having it. Hot tea helps, or possibly add another shake. Still healthy than cheating. Welcome to Optifast. Look forward to hearing about ur journey

Welcome to the new folks and glad to hear the "oldtimers" are going strong. Brooke, a month sounds like a long time not to exercise -- most times it's after the first week, I think. Once you get over the initial sluggish and low energy feeling (it took me about 5 days), you'll probably want to move more.

Cranking up the exercise myself...just got back from a 20 mile bike ride. I may not be able to walk tomorrow! Official weigh-in a bit after 9 weeks: 3 lbs down for 35 total. Thomas, it's amazing that you lost that amount in 3 weeks!

I think it is partially because i am starting at a higher weight than most people. The best part is that people are noticing the loss. I will say, whenever I ask people to guess my starting weight, they underestimate by 70-80lbs. When I tell them, they are like, "you weigh that much?" lol I am loving optifast but boy oh boy, the cravings!! It's more psychological than anything but either way, it is there

Well, today marks my end of week one! I have lost 11 pounds! I know that's a lot (and mostly water weight), but I was a bit irritated that I was the same weight Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and then this morning, I barely dropped a pound! Anyway, now that my water weight is gone, any weight loss from here on out should be fat, right? It'll be interesting to see my average weekly weight loss in the weeks ahead.

Hope every else is determined to push it one more week! I am!:)

Do they not do potassium supplements with Optifast 800 like they did with Optifast 70? Also, when will I stop feeling sluggish and get my energy back? It makes the days drag.
Thanks.:)
We do not do potassium supplements with Optifast 800--at least when you are eating the bars--because the bars have enough potassium. If you aren't eating the bars, then I am not sure if you would want to do supplements.

That's great, Thomas! Good for you!

Feeling a bit discouraged today...I've only lost two pounds in the last 5/6 days. I am not going to be happy on this diet unless I lose at least 3-4 pounds a week, otherwise this diet is no different than WW or any other diet. I started this diet because I wanted to lose a lot of weight really fast! I'll try to stick it out at least a full month before deciding if I should carry on or throw in the towel.

I've been doing aerobic exercises every other day, but I'll try to do it every day. My energy is better than it was
last week, but I still feel a little sluggish, especially in the afternoons, despite my efforts to keep busy.

Drink more water. That will usually do it.
