FARCE wrote: You know I thought Teen Challenge was the answer for my girlfriends son. Well low and behold what a farce. It's all about money and playing their game, god etc. If you don't get along "god forbid" you have a disagreement. He was a model student excelled on all levels. He had a disagreement with the dean. He was set to graduate in three weeks and they made it very difficult. He went to court for sentencing and teen challenge threw him under the bus. This is a 22 year old man who had never really been in trouble before and on a recomendation from this front for money he was sentenced to four years in prison. Mind you he was caught with some cocaine (9 gms) but had not been in trouble before and had already done 14 months in TC. Upon their negative feedback he was railroaded. This facility does not even stress addiction its the lord and money. BEWARE!!!! Thats really sad to hear

And yeah prayer by itself doesnt work you need to want to change and have enought of a reason to do so, my reasons were simple i didnt want to end up dead from my addiction, or end up in prison on a murder charge or be murdered myself,(as the bible says "hating and being hated" goin nowhere, so do you have a reason to change or do you just want to slag of people that have? Where did these alleged rapes etc take place cos when i was at TC in Wales in the 1980s i never saw anything like what youre saying so you are either full of s**t or it must have happened somewhere else and if it did serious actions need to be taken, and if you are full of s**t you need to grow up and get a life. Michael Kincheloe wrote: <quoted text> At the Shafter and Riverside, CA Teen Challenge locations, Jesus is used more like a modern-day Sword of Damocles than a loving and understanding savior. These two locations employ "discipline" in such a way that crosses into civil rights violation territory. The abuse that "students" are forced to endure (or leave and be put back in jail or state prison) motivated me to put together a web site: http://www.teenchallengeexposed.com You can pray until your tongue is dragging on the ground, but you'll never turn a pickle back into a cucumber. Never. When did you go to TC and did you get freedom from either your alchol or drug addiction and are you still living drug/alchol free now? Did you find that the experince in the usa differs from the teen challenge in the uk? Me personally never experinced any abuse whilst i went through the rehab in Teen Challeneg in Wales, if i had i would have kicked the s**t out of whoever was trying to abuse me in any way whatso ever, so i guess things are run differnt where you went to TC, i experinced real christian love for the first time in my life when i went to teen challenge, it was life changing. I did not know what love was until i went there and at first i thought they were all nuts, and tested them all to see if they were all genuine, before i started to trust any of them, i was abused as a child, so i can spot a bull sh**ter a mile away, because people that abuse children are the biggest liars and bull sh**ters on the planet. So i think it is very sad that you have had such a negative experince of christianity and pray that you will have a real and life changing experince with God, because if you do it will change your life for ever. People will always let you down and you can never trust any person 100% because every person on the face of the planet earth is not perfect and will make mistakes, will hurt you and let you down at some point. Thats life, thats the human condition, however i have found that God has never let me down, never. People have all the time, people are full of s**t, most are well meaning but still full of s**t. Any way i hope that you will have a real and life changing experince with the Lord God, cos he never lets anyone down, and has never let me down.
