John, I read your article regarding Noreen Renier. You mentioned a Private Investigator Marlene Rockwell. I have had the opportunity to work with Rockwell Investigations on Six Homicides cases to date. I can attest to the fact that a person who is working on a cold or unsolved case, will stop at nothing to turn up clues.

At times we are at a great loss and only have faith that God will send that one clue to set us in the right direction. With faith all is possible, even if it is out of the ordinary. Such as when a mother sees her child pinned below a car, and lifts it completely off to save the child’s life. Our faith in our abilities and ourselves make us confident enough to try, ultimately to succeed.

Lets analyze John’s ability to develop patents and products in the fields of digital imaging and telecommunications. If subconscious abilities are not possible than how can we conger up new ideas of things that don’t exist? Some times we tap into our subconscious minds and don’t realize what it is that we are doing. I really think that John is a prime example, relative to his career.

God gives us abilities in life so that we can do good in his name. If he has given Mr. Merrell the ability to write or critic....why isn’t he doing it for the good of mankind? John if you have ever worked as an investigator, you seek answer to questions that you don’t even know. You must see in the dark and still believe that the light will lead the way.

I can stand behind Marlene 100% when it comes to her professionalism regarding investigations. Her many clients and years in business speak for them self. I have seen and heard positive from her clients that I have worked with on certain cases.

I know that some of us have been given a gift and it should only be used for the good of mankind. So to the men and women that deplete their lives to help the living with dealing with the dead or killed..........You are in my prayers.

A solid investigator working on a cold or unsolved case does not turn to the paranormal and the pseudoscience --- they would have as much luck on average by listening to their favorite CD played backwards, or perhaps looking for secret messages inside of banana peals. Neither Scotland Yard or even the L.A.P.D uses psychics for a reason --- the odds are less than chance about being right. You might as well follow the waves in street puddles to find who did the crime. Renier has been cited in the past using pendulums over maps and she believes she has entities within her that allow communication with the dead. For those interested in her background and accuracy I hope they too will read the web site www.amindformurder.com As to my own abilities in digital imaging, they are hardly subconscious. I am quite awake when I form my ideas, and I often do so in the comfort of others and then analyze the results and define standards of measurement. In fact I am a member (actually co-Chair) of an international body which sets consumer electronic standards. That is a far cry from pseudoscience or depending on subconscious thoughts to produce scientific measurement standards. Concepts yes. Ideas yes. A opera. A work of art. But not measurement standards that are carefully defined, analyzed and developed to standardize accurate results. Solving a crime or finding who is responsible for a murder is not (other than by pure chance) the result of entering a dream like state. Nor would I want to be an innocent victim and have a psychic lost in her visions be the one to solve whether I was or was not innocent. Thank you anyway --- I'll take science and accuracy over ripples on a puddle. And as I often seek answers in the dark (my line of work includes visual microdisplay technology), I rarely look to light to lead the way. Light is a composite, and in my line of work I generally look for the absence of light. Light is often misleading, and must be broken down to its more elementary components. It's a bit like separating out the lies and deceptions from the truth. And anyone who has any doubts about deceptions should visit the web site. I have seen no "believers" willing to be critical in anyway of the fantasies that have been posed as facts to con the public. Instead of agreeing when a fraud is found I see believers who attempt to increase obfuscation.

Obviously John you are not a believer in anything other than your own B.S.

Spiritualism teaches that man never dies, but that he does change his state of being; that his real work, on whatever plane of existence he may be, is to attain spiritual growth for himself and to help others. The “angels” of the Bible are human beings who once lived on earth who have chosen to help others by attending mortals as guardian angels or spirit guides. Through laws governing mediumship they may make their presence known to the physical senses and assist our departed friends and relatives to do likewise.

I agree, and the fact that there is a paranormal tone to most, if not all of her investigations, could make it easy for her to take advantage of grieving loved ones and their money.

I am an investigator myself in Northeast Oklahoma with over 20 murder investigations I am working on or have completed. Some have turned out good and some not so good, but at the end of the day, EVERYONE knows me and my agency did everything they could..........and no one was ever mislead.

As an intuitive I fully appreciate Noreen's honesty. In every interview that I've read her voice is authentic and her ego is not seeking glory for her work.

A skilled psychic can be of service to others just as a skilled surgeon can be...but deserve respect and both have limitations.

When Quantum physic's becomes more main stream, perhaps the archaic thinking that surrounds intuitive work will shift.

Renier was born in Massachusetts where your posting indicates you live. She was born and lived just 26 miles from where she claimed in court testimony she found a crashed aircraft. Yet when asked where the location of the crash area was --- including the local airport just 2700' from the crash --- she said she "had no idea". She acted as if the entire state of Massachusetts was a foreign place though she has relatives throughout the immediate area. This is a honest portrayal? Quantum Physics has been mainstream for the last 40 years --- where have you been hiding?

You are so full of hatred and bitterness it's dripping from all your posts. There is a God and there will be a judgement day. If this lady actually helps people, who are you to judge.
I won't pretend to be as 'smart' as you, however, I do know God sometimes uses angels and I'm not going to question Him as to why. You are too full of yourself..........

Free Union Virginia "psychic detective" Noreen Renier, widely seen on the TV series 'Psychic Detectives' is about to see her psychic tell-all book 'A Mind For Murder' sold to the highest bidder! A hearing in Lynchburg of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court on February 25, 2010 will sell the copyright to the highest bidder attending. Psychic Renier began writing the book in 1984 and spent more than 20 years on the book before it was published in 2005. But just months after publication the book was withdrawn and cancelled by its publishers for including statements about a psychic critic that Renier had agreed not to reference in a Florida legal agreement. Noreen Renier later (in 2006 and 2007) lost federal court rulings, and received judgments against her in a Washington federal court including having to pay her arch critic about $40,000 plus interest. She then declared her second chapter 7 bankruptcy in 10 years on August 28, 2007 and as part of the assets to pay her critic/creditor has now lost her book. Does anyone else think this is not the kind of thing that a psychic shouldn't have foreseen? The bids are open to the public. There's a good story even behind this story though. A research group has investigated some of her claims that have been spinning around Charlottesville for more than 20 years, including the one about locating a crashed plane with survivors. The local paper reported on this case several times over the years and its always been one of Noreen Renier's real winners. Well it turns out it was a big fabrication!
