If only the world was so simple. while there may be people who have canceled their newspaper subscriptions for the reasons you state they are not many. The internet and even TV and radio has been taking readers away from papers for some time. They are dinosaurs and need to apply their resources to new medias and many have been, some with more success than others.Who cares about George Bush's ratings? He is still the President.
Get this: The news media that has been spouting his low ratings
has lost readership and personnel because of largely negative
reporting of the Bush administration and the Iraq war. 60 Minutes
had to let Dan Rather go because he lied to his viewers that he had
a water tight story that proved Bush was AWOL. Too bad. And, 60
Minutes ratings are low enough where they may not be on the air
much longer. The LOS ANGELES TIMES, NEW YORK POST AND SAN FRANCISCO
CHRONICAL have all lost readership because of their negative
reporting of the Bush administration since last year. The San Francisco Chronical lost over 15% of their readership since last year. The news media is finding out that they can only manipulate the minds of so many people, and the rest of us do our own thinking by checking the facts. All the information about everything
you can want to know about is on this internet. Including the
media's slipping audience. Check it out.
Bushs numbers are low because he has been unsuccesful. His watch wasn't up to the task at hand.
