african american vs. african vs. caribbean

I work in a group home with both africans and african americans and I've observe that the people from each group are different when it comes to their work in general, goals, aspirations, culture and etc. I know that africans, african americans, and caribbean people are all black, but thats where it stops. I hear through out these post that each community has different cultures and sees things differently from each other, which I think it's true due to the fact that some influences that happen in the african american community doesn't really spread into the african or caribbean community. I want to know the differences between each community from people of these communities (please no insults or rhetoric of any community, just facts)about their culture, upbringing, marriage, education and etc?

Are you white? Your race is quite irrelevant to my answer, but I want to use it to point something out. Let's say that you are white. If I asked you what are the differences in culture, economic status, aspirations, language, etc. between white Americans, white Canadians, white Britains, white Scottish, white Welsh, white French... do you see where I am going with this? You wouldn't be able to insinuate that they were somehow all alike because of shared skin color. Even within the white American category one is separated by class!

It appalls me everyday to hear on the news that the "black" community thinks X or the white community think "Y". It's ludicrous for you to even suggest that because one group of people shares a seemingly similar amount of melanin that they should somehow think alike! Please, the next time that you wish to generalize the actions of African/Afro-Carribean or "African-American" community based on skin colour ask yourself if you would do the same to a white group of people.

TLDR: It'd take too long to describe the differences between each, and even if I did, there exist excepetions to generalisations. There are books you can find at your local library on these cultures.
