"VMRO-Bulgarian National Movement leader Krasimir Karakachanov, who a few days ago called on Boyko Borisov’s government not to lift visas for FYROM’s citizens and to block FYROM’s accession to the EU and NATO."

Karakachanov probably has some Greek roots:

In Bulgaria, according to the 2001 census, 4,107 individuals identified as Sarakatsani (Bulgarian: ка&#10 88;ак& #1072;ча ни, karakachani)

hey Skopi, if you guys are really Macedonians, why are Skopis not found in Alexander's old empire? why no FakiMaki colonies in Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Israel, Pakistan, Afghanistan? or in old Greek colonies in Italy, France, Russia, Spain?

why are Skopis only found in Skopilandia, UK, Australia, US & Canada?

why is that?

could you Skopis really be new to the Balkans, like 520 AD? Skopis are fakers

so Skopean monkeys, why does it look like your people followed Queen Victoria to English-speaking countries & not Alexander the Great into his old empire?

where are the colonies of bre Slavnis stuck behind the islamic curtain, where is the history as they bravely fought the hordes of mohammadans? where are the Slavni monuments in his old empire? you know the ones, that praise Alexander's generals; Boris, Tito, Slavadan, Igor?

Name

The most popular theory about the origin of the name Sarakatsani or Karakatsani, is that it probably derives from the Turkish word karakaçan (kara ='black'+ kaçan ='fugitive') meaning 'those who flee to uncultivated lands'.[8] The first element (kara) of the word, was used by the Ottomans to denote the black garment of Sarakatsani, which indicated their mourning for the Fall of Constantinople.[citation needed] It is said that for the same reason, they also slaughtered the white lambs and left alive only the black. An alternative and less popular theory states that their name comes from the Aromanian word sarac-tsani meaning 'poorman'. The Sarakatsani were recorded under this name for the first time only at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, thus the quest for their true origins gave place to a lot of speculative theories among the scholars.

"...The Ministry (of Bulgaria) doubts the way the authorities have acted, and the motives of the Macedonian court, describing them as not entirely juridical. According to the Bulgarian side, there are evidences that the motives have something to do with Spaska Mitova's publicly demonstration of Bulgarian self-awareness.

There have been found other evidences that rise suspicions that Bulgarian citizens, and Macedonian citizens with Bulgarian self-awareness, have been put under administrative and police pressure only because of their self-awareness..."

this whole episode has a communist leftover legacy, Tito knew that Stalin had ordered the Greek communists to try to overthrow the Greek government, so Tito decided to take a slice of Greece in the turmoil; but he had to prepare, thereby creating an artifical state that stole the target country's province name

Tito creates "Macedonia" in 1944
Tito creates an separate language in 1944
Greek Civil war started in 1946

thanks at least we can know why people with communist backgrounds are so messed up

unknown how Skopeans could be deceived into thinking they are "Macedonian", I think it was the 1,000 years of isolation after the collapse of the 1st Bulgarian Empire, they were dominated by the Greek Byzantines, Ottoman Turks & Yugoslav Serbians from 1018 to 1991, thats a long time to stew in your juices, dreaming up how you will be free, but also forgetting your roots

Who cares about history. The woman got incarcerated and her child taken after her husband has beaten her. Bulgaria should react on this.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Aries

There is minor evil around today, whether it is harsh words or actions. Relationships with non spiritual people will tend to be abrasive, as you come to understand that such people can never be trusted, for their agenda is not love. Beware of criticism from colleagues or friends. Avoid being narrow minded and confining your views to the conventional. You may want to argue with everyone and everything, but beware of devouring your own energy in the process.
