There goes another American industry down the tubes. This clown will come in and slash and burn everything in sight, then move on to another "challenge".

A-B employees will scream at first, but those that have sense to adapt will survive. I've been through this three times in my career, and you get used to not having free coffee and bottled water on every floor.

As an AB amployee's spouse, there's much more at stake than not having "free coffee and bottled water on every floor." Superflourous perks are not what the employess are concerned about.
Where Carlos Brito takes over, there are no longer good union/management relationships. Why, because what he calls "perks" employees refer to as "benefits." Health insurance and 401k's are very serious matters...and believe it not, so is employee morale. Mr. Brito fails to appreciate the magnitude of these employee issues.

Mia, I've lived through it 3 times like I said above.

Mergers and takeovers are such a part of the landscape now that we all have to be aware of them and be prepared. It's very stressful to not know how secure you are, but the lesson to be learned is that noone is immune now. We have a new economy, and the old days are gone, but hopefully not for good.

I think that very few people are pius enough to believe themselves "immune" to the fallout of today's economy. I understand that you've been throught this three times before. I also understand that we all have to assimilate and adapt...It's called survival. I just don't necessarily agree that passivity and acceptance are the same. I certainly can't change the outcome of the InBev/Ab takeover, but as you stated "we all have to be...prepared." Part of my preparation involved learning everything I could about InBev and Carlos Brito so that I could familiarize myself with his management style. Prepared, yes. Enthused, no. That doesn't make me a whiner, it just makes me extremely realistic about the changes to come. This will be more than a merger, it will be culture shock.
