Zoo asks visitors not to stare at chimps

Sooooo! You can go to the zoo but you can't look. Very unintelligent remark. If they want the isolation of the chimp from people they can easily put up barrier walls to prevent eye contact. Put dark sun glasses on the chimps..the chimp isn't responsible for his actions since humans raised him. I'm sure it wasn't his idea at all.

Now I can understand this request Mo4,
all kidding aside, as to stare would be
threatening to the chimp, if they are
trying to rehabilitate the chimp into a
"natural" enviornment, away from human
contact.
There is a male chimp at a local zoo who was reared by a woman in an apartment in NYC and eventually she could no longer handle the chimp, so she researched zoos
and chose Chester Zoo, Cheshire, which was an honour for the zoo. When I visit I clap hands to him and he copies me.
I love chimps.

If every visitor wears dark sunglasses, they will never know they are being LOOKED at. I dont think staring is the right word, they dont want you to make eye contact with them for long periods of time. But wear the sunglasses. I marvel at them, I love to just watch them in their natural habitat.
