Cheering for Lebron during the game is like whistling at a woman with your girlfriend standing right next to you.

I agree with the above posts. I'd love to see him here, but I would think he'd prefer real fans to an arena full of PR types!

loll, yea lets show lebron how unloyal we are to our home team, that will make him come here. The knicks need to beat him, so he can think we are worthy of his services.

Oh, i totally hear that. I think we should go nuts tonight for LeBron. If it affects his decision even .01%, then it was worth it!

Until he's wearing a Knicks uniform(thats if he ever does) he should be treated and greeted like any other visitor. We should cheer when he misses and be pissed off if he wins. I'm not goin to cheer for a player who MAY be a Knick in 2yrs. The Knicks are my team and I wish loss on any opposing visitor. Lebrons a great player but when he's in MSG he gets no cheers from me.

Wow....and honestly, I'm being completely objective here....but that had to be one of the worst most uninformed articles I've ever read. You must not know Knicks fans to ask them to cheer for another team. And to say Wilson Chandler "could be a good role player by 2010." Are you serious? He's a budding star, regardless of whatever system he's in. Just do your research and actually watch the team a couple times and familiarize yourself with the players (which you're supposed to do already) before you write an article like this and embarrass yourself.

The Knicks will pay a fortune for LaBron when he's just about shot. He already looks like he's 30 something years old. His Momma must have red shirted him for about 6 years while he was in elementary school. The Knicks will get raped again.

If I'm any player on the Knicks tonite and the crowd starts cheering Lebron or chanting for him I would be pissed off and feel betrayed. This Knicks 2009 team is finally playing with some heart and fire and 20,000 fans chanting for Lebron may damage team morale. We as fans should be more concerned with making the three newcomers feel at home not Lebron. Its been a long time since fans have been able to talk about anything positive about the Knicks. I've taken alot of pride in this team because of the energy and heart they are playing with. Thats respectable. Go New York! Go New York! GO !

He'll be 24 next month moron.. don't give a c/r/a/p how old YOU think he looks he's a great player who would put any team over the top with some decent players around him.... your post is baseless and ignorant.. go back to watching UFC or Nascar something that involves 'intelligence ' to watch..

Shaun Powell is a friggin tool that knows nothing.. You don't cheer for an opposing player. As much as any NY knick fan would love Lebron you wait until he wears your uniform.. What a waste of space this article took up...

powell knows nothing of being a true fan. I want lebron playing for the knicks, but it will be a cold day in hell before I cheer for an opponent of the knicks.
