Knicks rout Nets; perhaps a farewell to Lee, Nate

It couldn't end soon enough for the Knicks , this season that was mainly for demolition purposes and bridged the end of one era to the beginning of another.

Keepers for me would be Chandler, Dani and D-Lee (unless you could trade for a star player or remove somebody like Curry). Eddy Curry, obviously, would be a sure-fire dump. Any useful expiring contracts would be keepers. Speaking of Isiah, he's still being compensated pretty damn well by the Knicks so why wouldn't he be willing to give up his salary? But seriously, he's out of New York and that's what matters now muhaha

And, let me say, I worry about the future of Nate.
No matter what you may think of him...(and as a small guy, there ARE things that will make you see and do things differently...)
...he played his heart out for this team-from being called out by L. Brown to his resurrection this season-"let's hear it for the boy"!

we'll just forget that Isiah drafed CHandler and Lee. 50 losses. no defense played (50%+ FG allowed). and for all the talk about why make the playoffs and lose to the Celts in the first round... here's why...

Garnett may be out for the playoffs..and the KNick team that started the season could be in it instead of playing for Lottery position... I know pray for 2010...

Given the lack of talent on this team, we'll probably be in the same position next year, except we will not have our #1 pick which Isiah gave away for Starbury. One last parting gift from Isiah.

I think the Knicks must keep Chandler, Lee, Nate and Gallo. Although Gallo has a lot to prove and the back surgery adds doubts. I like him as a shooter and he plays the passing lanes well on defense but he is horrible in man-to-man defense. You can't expect a top star to sign in 2010 with no good players left to surround him. Walsh needs to find someone to take Curry. Maybe Larry Brown would want him. Curry had his best year under Brown. Q-Brick needs to go and although Jeffries is a good role player, he is paid more than he's worth. Harrington is a coin flip. The good Harrington that plays defense, rebounds, and passes the ball is not around enough to off set the ball-hogging, shot-happy bad Harrington. Just one fan's opinion.

If they're smart, they'll keep both.
Keeping David Lee is a must and is a no brainer.
How do you decide whether or not to keep one of the team's most consistent players?
Lead the league in double doubles, second leading rebounder in the league behind Dwight Howard.
How do you not keep him?
As for Nate, the Knicks can match any offer he gets from another team, or sign and trade him.
No doubt he is a good player and can be productive in the league, but his head has to be in the right place all season, not part of the season.

Enough of this trading the young guys. They are Knicks now and Knicks they should remain. That is if their pay requests are reasonable, both Lee and Nate are hard working players who contribute a lot to the team chemistry. Both are strong willed and express is differently, which makes them indiviualistic, which is OK, since it is the varied personalitites and strenghs of players that make up a team. Just keep em and keep adding young players. Sene showed what he could do in just a couple of minutes, he is only 22 and blocked a shot had a couple of points and rebounds. He can block 3 a game no problem, the Knicks aren't going to pick up anyone in the draft or a trade outside of DeAndre Jordan who can do that. Stick with him and the other young players and BUILD A TEAM!!!!!!!!!! Stop trying to trade for one, look at San Antonio, they built their core from the draft and have been strong for 10 years. You can't get team chemistry by trading all your young players. We as fans have to have a revolt against management to prevent them from this constant churning of young talent without cause. Maybe boycotting a couple of games will get their attention if they try to trade the young talent....
