Butler killed us two years ago and is the engine that drives their team. His hip is clearly bothering him. He simply cannot change directions... looks very similar to Boobie three weeks ago.
That said, this was the FIRST EVER Statement game for Mike Brown. He had the midas touch all game, from putting Joe Smith on Jamison, to LeBron on Arenas... but the best thing I saw tonight were actual plays run for Shooters - Z, Wally, Boobie.
Let teams double and triple Lebron.
When NBA Shooters get open shots on the move, they tend to go down. We saw it tonight.
Danny Ferry has taken enough heat over the past 18 months. It's time to give him some credit.

No excuses. I didnt hear anything about Arenas' knee or Butler's hip leading up to the series starting, so dont bring up your sore girl parts now, Washington.

This was an old fashioned BEAT DOWN. Call it like it is.

Great game. They really piled it on the Wizards. I hope they have some left for the next two games in DC.

GO CAVS !!!

Great Game!!!

That was the best the Cavs have looked for an entire game all season. Mike Brown did a great job with his rotations, matchups, and I never thought I'd say it, the offensive gameplan!

Washington is too worried about fouling Lebron when he drives and making statements with physical play. It has taken them out of their game, and done nothing but fire the Cavs up!

Where's that dude that sounded off the other day about the trade being "a bust"? How's it look to you now?

Two more to go, then Boston!

Go Cavs!

Have some left? They have three days off.

Where is your Wally bashing at today? Every other day of the week you are bitching and moaning about Wally not being able to shoot and how he is a horrible defender.

Don't forget the boards. The Cavs crushed them in that department. Andy & Big Ben had great RPG numbers, and everybody outhustled them for every rebound, even the guards. This team can go all the way if they stay focused, play solid D, and play hard for 48 minutes. It's time to send our "representatives" to Washington DC.

The Wiz should lose just on those uniforms alone. They look like they're made for the WNBA, or a team opposing the Harlem Globetrotters.

Sweep, Cavs. Please. Get those Washington clown suits outta public view.

Been waiting 84 games to see the Cavs play like they did yesterday. It was a beautiful thing to see, nice killer instinct too.

OMG is the typical bandwagon riding horse's a.$.$. If the Cavs lost, him along with the other no-talents who couldn't win at a game on hoops on a computer, would be bashing the team left and right.
That's what makes OMG the losers they are.

I think Brian W has laid it out pretty nicely that Mike Brown is a good coach, even offensively. People on here bash him, call for his job, call for his head. Then they do a piece on him prior to game 1 tipoff about how he greatly improved his offensive schemes by studying in Europe all summer. Then you have the new players who were a little shocked how thick the playbook was when they came in (read: they need time to learn it). Is it about time to put your foots in your collective mouths?

This has been about execution all along, I don't think Mike Brown installed an offense Sunday night that worked monday night.

I am so proud of our team for showing the grit, determination, focus, and character to play through all the nonsense and pull out a great win. Praise goes to the entire team for their preperation for what's starting to look like what our armed forces in Iraq, a huge mismatch. We need to finish them off in D.C. so we can be just as rested as Boston. Everything is easier when guys make shots and I believe that if Coach Brown sticks with the same rotation throughout the playoffs we could be back in the Finals. Go Cavs!!

I have never bashed Wally. He was a great add to replace Hughes. I have always said that big Ferry trade was the best for the Cavs. I just hope it carries through to the Celtics.

I like Wilbon and read his article last night, which was a good one. While the Wiz are his team, he is a lot more objective than most Washington writers.

Only disagreed on a couple things he said:
1. The Cavs are not as good as last year and are not
as good after the trade.
2. Wilbon and Reggie Miller wondered if a flagrant II
call would have made if it happened on any other
Cav other than Lebron.

Other than that his article was right on target.

It was a pleasure reading all the Wiz fans whines & excuses.
