Amazing. I'm so happy for this kid.

I find it interesting that our kids tend to be taller than parents. His parents are both 5'6" yet he's 6'3".

Is there something in the water? My son, at 15, is already taller than I am.

I didn't become taller than my dad until he reached his 70s and started shrinking. He's 82 now, and I MAY have a inch on the man I love more than any other man on the planet...but I ramble.

I think it is better nutrition and sanitation. It's hard to grow tall when you are not eating enough and getting sick all the time (even more so when you are still in your mother's womb).

Jeremy Lin's parents grew up in war-torn Asia (for China, the war started in 1935 when Japan invaded until 1945... then there was the Chinese civil that lasted until 1949) and I bet food wasn't plentiful during those times.

As much as we rag on America's decline, the sorry state our Healthcare is in, and/or the obesity epidemic, I think we (Americans) should all be grateful to live in a country that virtually no one goes with out food or medical care.(Be grateful first... THEN argue about stuff after that).

Well, its not just China. Here in the States our children grow taller than the parents.

And I disagree with your last comment. Many in this country go without medical. Many do.

This is a reason why we as taxpayers pay so much for emergency room care, cause they can't turn down patients. Those w/o healthcare use the emergency room instead. And we taxpayers pay for it.
