Jeff, I think the Star reported Harrision hurt his back "at practice, I mean we're talkin about practice". I'm with you about the shaky close, we had the cushion to spare last night, but it's an aspect the team can improve and it's already cost us a few games.

Great 2nd half. What happened to Harrison, I wanted to see him bang with Howard. Still a little shaky closing this game on the offensive end but the "D" was fine.
If Williams can figure out the defensive rotations, man we should be able to keep fresh legs on the front court for 48 minutes.

Wow. An amazing move by one hell of a playa.
JT wasn't called Mel Mel the Abuser on the playgrounds of New York City for nothing. Most people couldn't even play on a New York City playground let alone be called a nicename like THAT!

JT abuses people, and it's amazing to watch. Every year DC and NYC have a basketball game between the all stars from each city. Usually they are the younger guys still in school. Some of these young playground players have moves that will put you in the mental ward they're so devastating, then couple that with a raucous crowd that wants more and more of it.

It's impossible for most folks here in Indy especially those who are well enough $$$ to buy tickets to games to understand what being abused on a court really means.

JT's potential is unlimited and I'm just really happy to see him becoming the player I always knew he was. It's like a present under the christmas tree!

Not to take credit away from JT because he's doing great, but take a look at all the assists and not just JT's. Look at the team's stats (29)!!!

I am so sick of hearing about the "off the court" stuff. Other than the minor thing with Shawn Williams nothing has happened. Let the past be just that THE PAST and move on.....

Sparky, I watched him play at ISU and he's the same here as he was there, an f'ing stud.

Good to see an article forum that isn't overrun by the negative. I watched the game last night, and it was fun to see. Thing is, those of us that are following along each game know we've already beaten some good teams this year.

To me, last night was different in this respect. They didn't out score the opponent, they stopped the opponent from scoring. I've seen Pacer teams that tried to outscore opponents nightly back in the late '80s. That's a crapshoot that solely depends on shooting percentage to win a game. I've seen evidence of that in this year's team in some of the early games. This game, they were able to dictate what the opponent could do, and that's the difference. I think OB said that they tightened the D at the point of attack on the pick and roll and changed how passes came out of the P&R. It was like seeing a chalkboard come to life on the court, slowly. You'd see them get it, then ORL would make a run, and then the Pacers would assert themselves again on both sides of the ball.

Then, nearing the end of the game, it seemed like something clicked. ORL started to look totally out of sync, and the flow on our offensive side came together. If not for 4 missed FREE ones (You HAVE to make the stretch FTs,'Quis), it would have been done earlier.

Great game. Fun to watch. Glad to see other fans that got a charge from it as well.

Where is that Solar Bat troller from Orlando that was on here yesterday? I knew we wouldn't hear from hiim today. Just had that feeling. ;-)
You can see this team coming together right before our eyes in these last 10 games. These guys are playing at the same level as the so called elite teams right now and they are still getting settled into their new style and system. They've beat New Orleans, Dallas, Denver, Orlando and had Phoenix down for the 8 count. They will make big moves in the east standings as they continue to get better. So, why can't they be considered a contender? Personally, I think they are.
Granger was huge last night. O'Neal is showing me a lot. You can see he's got some hop back. Foster was huge. Dunleavy and Tinsley are making plays. Daniels, Murphy and Williams are terefic coming in off the bench.
Bring on Cleveland!
why not considered a contender? same reason some doubt the Celtics, the structure of the team hasn't been together long enough like most Pacers fans will say... all we wanna see is team basketball and improvement every year

for real tho... with the way things are spinning in the world today teams will have a player in trouble with the law eventually. Rafer Alston of the Rockets stabbed a man at a nightclub in NY, I'm sure their fans support he was in self defense. Now that Jamaal has his barfight in the past he can advise his teammates that people in Indiana dont like the Pacers and to stay away from the clubs. Warn the Tinsley or another player will find himself in a hostile crown defending himself.

PACER'S REPORT CARD. 20 GAMES BEFORE 1ST POLICE CALL ABOUT A PACER INVOLVED IN A SHOOTING. IS THIS A RECORD?
Again NOT involved he was TARGETED. They left a club rather than sticking around and asking for trouble. What my bet is that the people behind the gun have been going to that club for months now waiting for Jamaal to show up so they can get close enough to scare or even hurt the guy.

When Paul Pierce was a rookie and was stabbed in the neck in Boston did you consider that as being INVOLVED in a stabbing?? I bet ESPN didnt either
