You guys are extremely ungrateful, the guy is hurt. Apparently you dont remember him leading us to the best record in the NBA as the "primary option" and "franchise player" just 3 years ago before Ronron the brawler blew up our team. Remember, Jermaine Oneal? 20 and 10, 2nd team all-nba, dominant 7 footer, 3rd for MVP award!!!! Jermaine has been a good citiizen the whole time, and you backstabbers jump on him while he's injured and TRYING TO PLAY THROUGH IT TO HELP YOUR TEAM. You freakin jerks.

You make some good points, but at this stage in his career, perhaps due to the culmination of injuries or a culmination of burn out, he should not be the primary option on this team. Shaq is still more dominating than Jermaine and Shaq isnít the primary option on his team, and he has won much more than Jermaine has. I am not saying Jermaine isnít a good player, but he is not a great player. He is NOT the kind of player that should dominate the ball as he wants to, he should defer to Danny Grainer and Mike Dunleavy who are at this stage in their careers a much better option than Jermaine and if they are on, it will make the game much easier for Jermaine and his constant injuries. Perhaps if he become the third option, he will not have to press as much and he can keep from being injured as much.

I agree with you that he should be that if he is playing through injury, otherwise he should at least be our 1st option in the post which 80% of our halfcourt offense should run through.... basically healthy 100% 29 year old Jermaine Oneal should be our primary option inside and option 1a and 1b with Danny Granger.... otherwise when he's playing through injury as he has been than he should be exactly what you said.
PS- Shaq is 6 years older than Jermaine, Jermaine is INJURED.

Umm...what planet are you living on? This is easily the most ridiculous statement I've read in months. I'm sorry, but no one--not even Mitch Kupchak--is dumb enough to trade a third-tier, injury prone player and a few unproven young pups for a perennial top scorer and All Star. The only one dumb enough to possibly even consider going for something that one-sided would be Kevin McHale, and much to the relief of Pacers fans everywhere, he works for the Wolves.
