The Lakers will get better even if Trevor Ariza is headed to Houston, bcoz we are getting a ready guy whose defense is best in this league. So its time for lakers to move with Ron and ppl Ron will bring out his best to win his First Ring and give Kobe his Fifth One. L.A get ready for 2009-10, 16th Banner

Artest is a welcome addition and an excellent defender . If Andrew can return to form and
with Kobe a great defender, LA is in for another title ride. Hurry on and sign LO and let the
party begin.I see THREE PEAT!

Wow! That will shut down all the critics on this bold move of the Lakers. With both Phil Jackson and Mitch Kupchek beleiving that adding Ron Artest will crerate a "team of teams" for the Lakers, who has more experience as GM and Headcoach? If Artest could conrtibute significantly to Houston's success, why wouldn't he do even better with the help of Kobe, Odom, Gasol, and FIsher?

I'm curious to see if Artest will be able to grasp the triangle system and how long it will take? Now, somehow the Lakers have to find a PG with youth and intelligence and most importantly the speed to compliment this collection of talent. Has anyone noticed how the "rich get richer?" (San Antonio, Celtics, Orlando, Lakers, etc.)

I will predict the Lakers over the Celtics in 6 next year. And sweet as the '09 Championship is...there is NOTHING on the planet like the Lakers beating the evil Celtics. You can say, well a banner is a banner but for those of us old enough to remember the Celtics beating the boys in purple and gold year after year in the 60s; you know there is NOTHING SWEETER than seeing the Lake Show triumph over the bums from Boston. I still cannot get over Elgin Baylor not getting a ring. Just bear in mind that brilliant man retired at 16PPG because he thought he was no longer playing at a level befitting an NBA star. Today he would be getting millions

I agree with you Ramona. Artest will bring a new dimension to the Lakers, at the right time. If you have 2 good players in your team who "hates losing games" like Kobe and Ron... it means goodbye to games of complacency.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Taurus

It's important that you leave yourself plenty of room to manouvres during the weeks ahead, as Mercury turns retro today, especially when it comes to making decisions and airing your opinions to the world. You need to be as flexible as possible right now, otherwise you could find that you've boxed yourself into a corner and have to do some serious back-tracking. You need to consider all points of view and not just your own.
