if Artest went to Denver, what would be the starting lineup? What are they going to mover Anthony to SG and iverson to the point?

NO NO NO to Kurt Thomas! He's 35 years old. Arroyo and Dooling are decent players and FAR from over the hill in BBal years!

I dont know that I give up dooling in that deal, but Kurt Thomas would defintely help fill that gaping hole at the 4 spot until Battie returns. I would do that deal and include Arroyo, Bogans, Garrity in a heart beat. At least we would shore up the middle for a playoff run this year, and address some other needs this summer.

I don't see how the Magic could possibly deal both Arroyo and Dooling. That would leave them with Nelson as the ONLY point guard. That just won't work. Arroyo seems like the best trade bait. SVG seems ok with Nelson as the starter, and Dooling has been WAY too valuable off the bench to get rid of him. Arroyo is much more expendible.

His age has nothing to do with it - he is an outstanding defender who can knock down the mid range J, and who is having one of the best rebounding seasons of his career; just what Orlando needs at the 4. He fits the bill perfectly. And ultimately, if we send (for example) Arroyo and Garrity to Seattle for Thomas, what have we lost? Like those two, his contract expires this summer. If things don't work out, he walks - simple. In the meantime he could provide valuable veteran leadership, and the chance for Rashard Lewis to play his natural game for 25 minutes a night.

I'd still prefer to see Udonis Haslem in Magic blue, but if that can't happen, Thomas is a great second choice.

Totally agree, I like this type of move.
He's 35, maybe he'll realize the possibility to win something with Orlando and sign for the veteran minimum next year.
If we gave up Arroyo and Garrity, we need a third PG... look to Darrel Amstrong to be waived if NJ receive a lot of players in the Kidd's trade.

This two players would add a lot of experience, and veteran leadership that in the playoffs is always needed.

Anyway, I strongly believe we need to make a move before the deadline to use our expiring contracts.
But doesn't seem that the owners are willing to pay luxury tax, and for that Thomas contract could be interesting more than Haslem 'cause expires this year.

Trading Arroyo and Garrity is obviously the best offer for Thomas. We are going to lose one of our 3 PG this summer and then we have committed to Nelson and Dooling which is not a bad combo. Thomas could give us 2-3 years as a backup PF and our front line would be set. Then all our attention could focus on our backcourt and backups.

people do you know what PG means???
Nelson is not a true point guard. I like the Haslem move to Orlando he is a big man with experience and good rebounder and good shooter.
How many years Thomas can play good basketball he's maybe has experience but he's 35 yeras old and Otis say " I think in future". And Haslem have more future than Thomas.

Orlando need young blood. Why they dont resing Grant Hill?? Because they think in future with young players like Howard, Lewis and Hedo. They run the court fast and we need players like that. Thomas is too slow for that dinamic.

Thomas can help us right away this postseason...besides...he has only one year left on his contract. Also, Dooling would not be included in this deal. It would be either or...Dooling or Arroyo..not both in the package...besides..Dooling is SVG favourite and instant energy off the bency that we need in the playoffs. What would suck is if Dooling Does not Resign. Then we only have JAMEER left....ohoh!

He did just fine in Phoenix the last two years, and Seattle hardly plays slow ball. The only reason the Suns let him go was to balance the books.

Well Put Mitchell. Also, I would prefer Wilcox. Thomas is at about 8Mil and Wilcox about 6Mil..so he would come cheap.
Haslem will not happen because Riley wants JJ in the deal. Keep in mind...Riley is there to screw the Magic. He knows what to get and screw us over. So Haslem is very doubtful unless OTIS bends over.

That works Nanning. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/tradere...
But, i'm not sure about Thomas giving us about 3yrs...Also, Thomas might not resign either.

I would have some concerns here if Dooling doesnt resign this offseason. Jameer as a main PG...only PG?? I dont know.
