Everyone is quick to mention that the Spurs were without Genobili, but no one ever mentions that the Lakers were without Bynum and Ariza.

Who's everyone cause apparently you're the only one starting the rumour! As a Spurs fan I didn't say that nor haven I heard any other fan make that comment. What I will say is that the Spurs simply didn't come to play, Tim Duncan couldn't buy a shot and Tony Parker alone can't carry the team without help. As for the Lakers, they were on fire but as evident by their record they can be beat. Winning the top seed doesn't necessarily make you the champion, just ask the Dallas Mavericks of last year.
